Glad to see you are making your own! Started doing it 35 years ago when my youngest got very sick from a vaccine. She was sick for 1 year, dr. Didn't know what to do. The Lord led me to herbal medicine & never looked back. Herbal medicine healed my daughter in 2 weeks, Praise God!!
Misty, your tremendous knowledge never ceases to amaze me. Thank you for everything you share to teach & help/encourage all of us. Also, I love your shirt about 'Freedom'. God bless you, Colby & your precious, loving children. ❤️
I just bought a steam juicer and made cranberry juice and then I took the pulp and powdered it. I also have a capsule maker and I mi greens and fruits that I powder them as well. I like the double zero capsules.
And we could not do it without y’all. We we appreciate y’all too. For all you share with us. I do love your T-shirt is it one of yours that’s for sale? God Bless. 🙏
I started with that same small capsule maker, but upgraded to one that does 100 at a time. It's a game changer! You can also buy "bulk" powdered ingredients if you can't grow your own for Far less than buying bottles of pills.
I love this! I also grow my own Moringa, ginger, turmeric, galangal, mullien, dandelion, basil, soursop, ashwaganda, raspberry leaf, sage, chilli etc and i have recently purchased my own capsuke maker too. I also order lots of organic dried medicinal herbs. I got a wonderful herbalism book for christmas too. I am loving learning so much about herbalism.
I got my machine and capsules a few months ago cuz I wanted to do Cayenne. Haven't had a chance to do it yet I've tried a lot of stuff but I've never tried to dry garlic great idea but I dry or all the paper parts that came off the garlic you can dry those and making the garlic powder easily
Very interesting video even though I don't know if it is something I want to do. Once I get growing different fruits & vegetables & raising chickens for eggs, I hope to sell some of it in a retail setting for extra income in my retirement!
This is awesome! My kids have an organic plant nursery and landscaping business in Hawaii so they can grow things year round. Unfortunately I’m in an apartment in TX but gonna look into growing the micro-greens! Thanks for sharing. God bless! ❤️🙏🏼❤️
I think I would have to put the dehydrator outside if I dried garlic. I have capsule fillers for two different sizes that do 100 at a time. It is so easy!
I also grow as many as I can of my own herbs. Every morning when I first get up I take a blend of Cayenne Pepper, Tummeric, Black Pepper, Ginger, and fresh Lemon. It is absolutely wonderful. It does the body good! 😊 Thanks Misty for always encouraging us and teaching us so very much!! I love the Macs!! ❤❤
If you have problems swallowing pills you can dry and grind your own fruits, veggies, and herbs yourself too. I sprinkle powered fruit, veggies, and herbs on everything I cook just about. Easy way to sneak it in your picky eaters diets. My kiddos were eating broccoli and carrots in their burgers all growing up and didn't know it. Turmeric mac and cheese has great color and the children thought mine was the best.
@@TheMacsLife0I just received in the mail my latest book to add to my collection from her called The Forgotten Apothecary, it looks like another amazing book from Nicole Apelian. May God continue to Bless you and your Family.🙏🏼✝️🫂❤️
I was so glad to see you do this video. I was just speaking with a family member about food as medicine. I plan to try and get them started with herbs and gardening. ❤
In the Netherlands people eat boerenkool (borenkole) - mashed potatoes mixed with kale. It comes in a box with a pouch of dry instant potatoes and a pouch of powdered kale.
Awesome Video Misty !! Thank you for teaching us about the different things you can do to make natural medicine.. Thanks also for your encouragement!!! Love all The Macs Videos!!! God Bless and Love Yall 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻❤️
I want to start doing that, too. I want to see if starting moringa inside now would be a better plan so I can get a little longer season. I might have to grow it every year, in zone 6b, west central Ohio.
Usually I just air dry then bake on low temp then grind then jar it up … are you using a dehydrator for the items you showed? Looking into a dehydrator Good video
I have several down de Nicole apelain - I’m not affiliated with her but she’s who I have used to study - her books are good and I took a course from her too
Love love this!!!! Wow! Thank you for giving me the great idea to do this. I have been using these things in a smoothie but what a great idea to preserve and have the capsules.🙏🏻
I bought a Cap It thing this year and I'm planning on planting some More Herb's this year so I can do all of them, I also take herbs like Cloves, Star Inez, Turmeric ect and make them into tea's.
Yes! Another wonderful way! I find this way is faster- I don’t have a lot of time to steep teas - and this also helps with the herbs that tend to be more bitter :) But I love the idea of making tea- I do from time to time but definitely not on a weekly basis
I have such a hard time to get tumeric started have tried 3 different times. You are amazing with your knowledge. I just dried grape leaves, lambs quarters strawberry, blkberry leaves, and sweet potatoes and have blended all together for capsules. Kudos to you
Yes!!!!! FANTASTIC BLEND! I love raspberry leaves !!! Don’t over water the turmeric!! I bought some from a local friend but I have been told you can use store bought just make sure you get the organic one and don’t overwater!!!! That will make it rot and is the biggest killer!!!
Love that you are teaching your children about herbal medicine as well as homesteading that is something everyone should learn. I started last year growing my own ginger, turmeric and garlic, ginger and turmeric did great garlic would not grow. And started horseradish this past fall, so far so good. Do you mind telling what kind of ginger you grow? I’m in SC and have the wonderful sandy soil so I grow in beds and containers. Thank you for all the information you give us. May God continue to bless you, Colby and the family.
Love the capsule idea! Did you say how many of each you would take? I was multi-tasking as I was listening to your video. LOL! I would love to try to grow a Moringa tree. I don't know if they would grow in Eastern Oklahoma though. Very helpful video. God bless you all!
Ive béen really sick all week. And i just ate some honey garlic and ashwanda i havent even been well enough to think of it and ive got herbs ALL over the house lol
My 2nd Jersey just calved yesterday so I milked colostrum this morning and I have 4 trays in the freezer to go in my Harvest Right. I’ve been freeze drying beef liver for making capsules too. Haven’t had time to actually make the capsules yet, but I’m working on it. In a video a little while ago you mentioned the milk you had canned. Would you be able to possibly do a video on that or maybe elaborate about it just in a talking video? I’d really appreciate it. I’m going to have an abundance of milk with my 2 Jersey girls in milk now. I freeze dry it as well, but would love other options too. Thank you. 🥛🧡 Lorie 😊
Great video and information today. I am familiar with all of the vegetables and the tumeric and moringa. I never thought you could make veggies into a powder and put them into capsules. I can't eat raw garlic either. But I know both raw onions and garlic are very good for you. God bless you and your family. TFS with us.❤
Yes! The best benefits are persevered when the heat stays very low - I don’t particularly like it raw so this is the next best option but I love garlic cooked :)
Loved this video. You know that I always enjoy seeing your children, so that was awesome. And of course, I always enjoy seeing what you are doing. I love this idea. You are right about planning and learning. You have to make things work for yourself. I don't have the space or resources that you do, but if I really want to do something, I can figure out how to make it work with what I do have. I think mindset is so important. Just like none of us are exactly alike, we shouldn't expect everything to be the same. There are some things that will be but overall, no it won't. And truly, you can do a lot in a small space. More than we would think. It is all about the planning! Thank you for encouraging us to do what we can and to live healthier, eat healthier, and to take control of that by learning natural ways to do it. Also, squeezing in a few minutes each day to learn something new...even if we think we don't have the time, we can find it if we really want to. I have wanted to have a little area near the kitchen to grow herbs. I have been lazy and not done it, but this year, I already know where I want it to go. Since I am not sure it's the best place, I'm going to use grow bags. If it doesn't work in that spot, I can move it to another spot I had in mind. Thank you, Misty, and God bless you all.

Great video ... very interesting! Combining turmeric and black pepper also helps with absorption, because it contains piperine.

FANTASTIC IDEA!
I really like the information on making your on capsules of nutrients.
I love doing it!
I do a lot of dehydrating of greens and other things. Going to try to do more herbs this year. And, I won't procrastinate as is my custom!
Don’t!!!! It’s so worth it
This is awesome! My kids have an organic plant nursery and landscaping business in Hawaii so they can grow things year round. Unfortunately I’m in an apartment in TX but gonna look into growing the micro-greens! Thanks for sharing. God bless! ❤️🙏🏼❤️

Another idea for small areas is hydroponics or vertical towers. I dont know why but always forget about microgreens😂
Microgreens are amazing!
I want to start making my own capsules too. I bought some seeds a few days ago. As soon as this artic cold is past us here in Texas I'll be planting.

Beautiful herbs. And, didn't know about mixing pepper with the tumeric. Love learning new things.
Yes!!! It increases its ability to be absorbed more effectively! ;)
I want to start doing that, too. I want to see if starting moringa inside now would be a better plan so I can get a little longer season. I might have to grow it every year, in zone 6b, west central Ohio.
Maybe - but if you can move you pot inside it will protect it! I have mine in just a regular 5 gallon food safe bucket
Very interesting 🤔
It really is!
You are inspiring!!!

I agree! 😊
