- Let's go back in time a bit, 8 years to 2012. Me and a friend of mine were fairly new to speedrunning, but wanted to take a crack at routing a brand new speedgame of our own. We picked a game we had both played tons of back in the day, that game being Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. Back in those days, we theorized a skip but couldn't find it, even with outside help, we couldn't ever find our skip. This video, I'll talk about the story of this skip we looked for, the speedrun itself, and how after 8 years, the skip was finally found due to the effort of many.

Wow, this really brings me back. Ty was one of my favorite games growing up. Back when I started glitch hunting in Ty, I was at a phase where I was just frantically jumping around games trying to find interesting glitches. I never would've expected that one of my simple discoveries about that portal always existing would've started such a long hunt. All these years later, and it was finally found.
I was actually surprised when you reached out asking if you could use my clips, I'd honestly forgotten that I was able to find anything relevant, even though I do remember spending hours jumping around trying to find some wild out-of-bounds path to get there.
Come back! lol would love to get more developments in the runs.
This video was amazing silver! I began running this game back in 2017, and I am so happy to finally see gateskip a reality! In all my years of playing this game since I was 6, I never thought that I would have been the one to prove the holy grail of this game is possible. I’m looking forward to the future of ty speedrunning, and what new discoveries will be found to make this game an even better speedgame

How did you do that 12:04 I mean I know how you did it but where did you do it like where's the spot
It's right above the entrance to the cave that leads down there. You can get to it by using Ground Swimming and swimming up the cliff next to the cave entrance
