Empowering Developers with GitHub Copilot | Malte Lantin

For the last years generative artificial intelligence, especially large language models, started to change more and more areas of our lives. As with every wave of technology, the first expectations have have not been fulfilled in all of those areas yet. Still in software development we have have seen a rapid adoption of tools assisting engineers to develop software faster and with higher satisfaction. During this session we will introduce GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted software development, discuss the benefits and explore how it can help everyone who has to write code for work and research.
Malte Lantin (github.com/mal...) is an Enterprise Solutions Engineer at GitHub. He is working with some of GitHub's largest customers, helping them to establish GitHub as their central DevSecOps platform and improving their developer experience through AI powered developer tools. He is passionate about improving the software development process and sharing his experience. Before joining GitHub in 2021 he spent more than 10 years at Microsoft gathering experience as a Software Program Manager, Software Engineer, and Technical Evangelist. In his spare time, he is the Co-Host of one of the most popular Software Engineering Podcasts in Germany.
