Little Nightmares II is a suspense-adventure game in which you play as Mono, a young boy trapped in a world that has been distorted by the humming transmission of a distant tower. The art in the second game is far more surreal that the first one, I love the take the company took for this game
they were clearly more inspired by Lovecraftian horror and maybe coming from a darker state of mind.

The concept art of people's faces getting suck into the t.v Atcualy makes Sense.
Maybe that's why in the last level the building Is made out if eyes and flesh

As I watched this vid, I slowly became curious as to why there's flesh and organs and stuff in the signal tower, then I see the town's folk getting their heads stuck in the tv, along with the clothes we see in the game (and this vid as well) that might suggest that the towns folk were being absorbed
Yeah Its true cause in the 4th level we can see the watchers doesn't has their eyes and also last level lost their flesh, make sense
Good thing I’m not the only one...With all the people evaporated with only their clothes left,it makes sense for them to be mashed together into whatever absorbed them,the Signal Tower.

4:31 right here is the woman from the "Veronica " song that the janitor saw in the first little nightmares. This may prove that there was a time humans were normal until something interrupted the signal.
The reason why the viewers are so attracted to the t.v now is because of how desperate they are to get back to their normal lives.

The reason all the people in little nightmares ll are deformed is because the signal from the signal tower got interrupted and turned them in to monsters and that could be the reason why all the people are deformed in the original little nightmares

They changed from Thin Man's smile to just a blank expression indicates that he really hates how he's become and with that the theory that says he's trying to save his past self from being betrayed makes more sense
Ironic, in the very act to prevent his own betrayal he kidnaps Six which causes her to become afraid of him. When she sees that Mono looks like him she lets him go, thinking she’s taking revenge on her tormentor, when she’s just perpetuating the cycle further.
tbh , i think i like the thin man's beta design a little bit more than the new one. i really like what we got! But for some reason the old one looks more menacing to me

If you look at the games in order: Little Nightmares was basically and introduction to its world and story, and little nightmares 2 is an explanation of why the world is the way it is. So I’m hoping that if they make a little nightmares 3 it explains HOW the world got this way.

thats the sad part about it. she did trust mono, because she shares her music box with him, her most beloved belonging. and if you hit her with the axe, she doesnt hurt you. she just gently pushes you away. she was perfectly content to just sit there with him :(

The girl with the bleeding nose died for the Doctor
The child with a lollipop died because of the Teacher
I'm not sure if the girl with the bangs died, but the rest of the kids do, in the game you can find some "Glitch kids" in the same places that they die in the comic book

In my point of view, the art of the game 2 seem always to exaggerate childhood fears and anxiety. I know the devs confirm this but looking back, i can not stop but to be amazed by the accuration.
A child’s world is very small which evolved a lot around school, home and medication. The create of the teacher and the doctor has successfully brought players back to their childhood feels every time they face them; of discipline,bully, clacking of hospital tools trigger the fear of needles, pain, disabled weird looking people. Mindless kids being torture, until empty headed. Becoming a puppet to just follow orders and to survive in the social places, you have to actually kill, replace and play along.
The city is always raining which mean there’s no outside playing and being trapped. Houses tiled inside maybe represent a cage for a child because they always want to grownup fast and seek new places.
The scenario is scary yet they somehow also made me feel nostalgic, a place where i might be belong to but dont want to comeback. The piano have soft melody like a nursery song from the old days which is supposed to be cheerful and easy to be remember, yet it was play in low miserable toon and haunted whoever listening to it.
One thing I’m concern about the model of the doctor. Does it also replicate “pedophile”? The way the disgusting monster groom the small puppets on the bed gave me chill down the spine.
Children who didn’t manage to escape grow to be a part of their nightmares while the one who manage to make it out suffer from trauma and other consequences. “Either you die as a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain “.
At the end, the company did a great job creating the plot and the whole dark side of a innocent child’s world. I was terrified by the towns at first but the more i get used to it, the more i feel familiar, like home.
A bit about the game lore, I believe Mono and Six has always try to protect each other. The grownup Mono is a pain yes but thats how he can manage to get the power and create a world to trap Six’s monster. He did lost control but he didn’t give up on keeping his past making mistake. Six on the other hand, might know about her condition, maybe thats why she let go. To continue the time loop, to rescue her past self and to protect future Mono from a painful death.
P/s: They said Mono rarely give up but the way he face the man, let go his hat and kneel was the most painful scene ever. Hurted, lost his friend, imagine how devastated that must be.

Can we talk about the fact that the early concept art for Mono looks a lot like The Runaway Boy from the LN1 DLC?
Yeah he was actually a place holder for Mono until they made a design for Mono.

Mono dragging Six through show (at least it looks like snow to me, it could as well be rain and water).
Maybe they were planning to ad something like this in a early stage in development but decided not to for the final product.
It cloud aslo be just made to indicate what kind of feelings they wanted to have in the game.

Mam I would have definitely would want a longer LN2 because the actual LN2 Feels kinda short but I understand why they did that because the original game was short so why not make this one short to but damn this scraped art looks interesting af I cannot believe we were intended to keep six all the way up to the subway but then if mono did what he did to defeat the tall man in actual release of the game then the whole signal tower would be completely pointless because then mono and six really wouldn't know what to do after going into the signal tower

A little detail I've found
The six kids in the concert art all appear in the little nightmares 2 comic app
Mono appears in the first and sixth one,blindfold kid appears in the second one,bloody nose kid appears in the third one with maybe a little redesign, fat kid appears in the fourth one, the fifth one appears in first person but the screen is completely black except for two holes so its probably ghost looking boy, and six appears in the first one
this game made me depressed asf, the story is just.. so powerful to understand sometimes ahhh

(SPOILER FROM LN1) For people that somehow still thinks LN2 is a prequel, here something insteresting that says otherwise:
Cone heads are kids, the Geisha from the first game drained(thats actually how she eats). you see that in the end of the dlc of the first game. Six got her powers at the end of the first game. I personally think this game isn’t a sequel or a prequel just but it’s both a sequel and a prequel with select moments being from the past and future
@@trashbagiana 1: From what i know its confirmed by the devs that this game isnt a prequel.2: Six gets her raincoat from the protagonist of Very little nightmares which she gets attached to through the game(its way more meaningful then just getting it from the ground in LN2).3: My theory regarding shadows is that everyone has then, that they probably feeds on negativity and when they outgrown their body people turn into monsters, Six(the geisha's) power is to drain shadows(maybe feeding it to her own, which can be a problem), against monster it kills them, against kids it turns them into coneheads(some kind of husk). And that in contrast Mono(the thin man's) power is to take bodies to the broadcast and leave their shadows behind. The Maw at the end could be Six's Shadows telling her the hunger will never end, and theres only one place where you can always find more food. Damn i really hope a third game come up soon i dont like having doubts, and of course theres a few things that dont add up yet. This game just left me hungry for more.

@@shivablack2832 I saw someone say that the reason to why Six wasn’t hungry for the whole LN2 game is because she already consumed many guests in the LN1 ending, which satisfied her for some time. And also I personally thing her powers and hunger don’t function because of the signal tower.

Notice also, all of these kids are featured in the comics? These characters could very well be important to the story.
The one in the bag is obviously Mono, the chubby boy is 2, the girl with the bloody nose could be 3, the ghost kid 4, kid with the feather and headband 5, and of course, the girl with the black hair is Six.

I’m hoping that there’s a DLC about six and her way to the maw. It would be cool as we could see more monsters and areas in these concept art like the barber. It would also be cool as we never played as six in the new game and it could add a lot to the law.

Everyone saying how the comics explain how she got to the maw. What I mean is her experiences getting to the section we see in the comics like maybe a bit after her leaving the TV and the DLC would end were the comic started telling the back story of six and how she got to the maw.
Man all these concepts and their art are just *beyond* incredible man, one of these days for their amazing dreams and hard work and hobby's would get a award at some point. Also did anyone else thinks the forest concepts should of been in the game? If not then how come?

Absolutely amazing. I would love it if they had a behind the scenes look at the developers diaries or something like that. I would buy the hell out of that. Their work is just so impressive. They bring out so many emotions and capture the imagination so well. The 2nd game was immensely darker and I just want more....I want so much more of this amazing art.

So many cool ideas were not used. I am delighted! The moose is awesome, this biology classes, a cook in the kitchen, hospital locations, subway stations ... it's breathtaking. The game came out short and was constantly delayed, so I dare to assume that it was all cut due to time constraints and production problems

@@zapzap9610 she finally saw his face. The joke is his face is pretty scary in the concept art. Though canonically I think it’s because Six got spooked by seeing Mono’s face resembled the thin man and either lost her trust in Mono or considered that it may not even be Mono and could be a trick.

i love the ideas for the hospital! The games art is simply so amazing and I love seeing all the different idea's the workers on the design of the game had! It's creepy but there are some sweet moment's, Like them sitting on the train together. We see friendship in art. Its beautiful
The concept art is so beautiful yet creepy and i love how you can tell they thought deep about how they wanted to extend the little nightmares world and make it live up to the name even more than the first game very well done for both games ❤️👌🏼✨

the theory about the thin man trying to save mono makes so much sense! (let’s call his older self ‘the thin man’ and his younger self ‘mono) mono’s original fate left him heartbroken and the signal tower warped his emotions and his physical being until he was almost an empty shell of a warped man, hence his tall and thin appearance. with what is left of the thin man’s brain and after the signal tower (and maybe the thin man too) creates the time loop, the thin man sees this as a second chance. he creates a plan to try to tell his younger self about what six will do. throughout the game, we encounter what mono did in his original timeline, but as soon as we reach the pale city, the start of the time loop begins to take place.
i’d like to think that instead of the thin man, mono’s original timeline made it where the signal tower was the one to try to communicate with mono through transmissions/technology. the signal tower was probably the first one to use other things/beings to capture six in the first place.
since this is technically mono’s second chance, the thin man will try to communicate with him instead of the signal tower.
anyways, the thin man repetitively tries to chase after both six and mono as an act of determination to capture six and tell mono about his upcoming future.
instead, mono escapes multiple times and six is eventually captured. mono decides to face off with the thin man who is only trying to capture him as well and eventually let him escape by himself. unfortunately, the thin man fails and is eventually turned into glitched particles after mono kills him successfully.
fast forward to after six’s betrayal and being captured by the signal tower, mono realizes that he will become the thin man and that his past self was only trying to save him. he ends up doing the same thing and the time loop continues, over and over again.
I start crying just seeing mono then thinking how he felt of six doing what she did he was hurt, confused and the most heart breaking part is that mono growing up becoming miserable.
