If you wish to know the volume of a cork, you have a problem. It may fit in you measuring cylinder, but of course it will float on the water. What you need is a piece of heavy wire which, when wrapped round the cork, is sufficient to make it sink. You then take readings like these of the water level in the measuring cylinder: Water level of wire wrapped around cork submerged under water = 59 cm^3 Water level of wire alone submerged under water = 50 cm^3
I am an eighth grader too.. I thought and researched about the second question (probably because it was more intresting than the first one) and there is a method called the "Eureka-Can".. I think that is what it should be used..
prince yoongi The unit for volume is either "mL" or "cm^3" but not "mL^3". Typically mL would be used for liquids and cm^3 for solids but they are equivalent units (1 mL = 1 cm^3). Thanks for asking.
Leonard Francis Manlangit Great question. Not sure I’ve thought of that before. Could you use a different liquid than water... maybe isopropyl alcohol or something else that won’t dissolve the solid?
Thank u so much! I'm going to Indonesia for a science competition and I'm representing South Africa! Thank you so much for the help
good fore you.

this was so clear and short thank you
Tysm I have an exam tomorrow and I totally forgot how to do this thank you!!!
You helped me pass my science test
So glad it was helpful. Keep learning.
chadbrooks22 same dude thanks a lot with science test that's what it said in my study sheet thanks bro I appreciate.
lovely
well done
Tysm ❤
thanks for this video know i have a better understanding of volume
Thanks for the help! I needed a refresher. One step closer to my degree! :)
did you get it?
@@obinoscopekenobi9450 I did!
Really this is very helpful to me......thnx A loT :)
Thank you so much. It was made easy.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
OMG YOUR VIDEOS ARE AMAIZING THEY HELP ME ALOOOOOOOOT KEEP POSTING THEM VIDS ;D
You helped me also to pass my science test
The volume of the solid is displayed in cubic centimeters. 1mL is equal to 1 cubic centimeter. So it would be 3 cubic centimeters.

Lana Pshtiwan it’s funny to think about the fact that you’re in college now. or 18/19
@@therealaryam In fact 20 and yes 2nd year of uni 😂 I don’t even remember writing that comment😅
Then how can we find the volume of a sponge ?
appreciated!
how do I put a building inside a graduated cylinder...
You would need a really big cylinder (or a really small building).
Thanks You help me alot in the science homework
Thanks a lot for this ! Really helped
You're welcome. Glad it helped.
Thanks For Helping W/ My Hw!
No problem. Glad it was helpful.
for sphear there is a simple formula that is 4/3 22/7 cube
Yeah I agree on that
Thbx so much!!
is it 3mL cubed or just 3mL

Thx
What about electronics?
wish i could do this for my calculus test instead of integrals...
What to do if it is soluble in water?
Leonard Francis Manlangit Great question. Not sure I’ve thought of that before. Could you use a different liquid than water... maybe isopropyl alcohol or something else that won’t dissolve the solid?
Thank the lord!
But sir 3ml is not the unit of VOLUME? Don't u think
1 cubic meter (unit of volume) is basically 1 mL. So yea mL is a unit of volume
