Love your channel. I have a resto mod 69 convertible. It’s got a Dart 427 short block. I checked the vin and it was born a 396 SS. I’ve put Z/28 badging on it because of all the pro touring mods done on it during resto. Thanks for all the great info you put out in your vids.
I Really enjoy watching your videos and Your knowledge of cars is Awesome and you teach really well what to look for I notice you stay in that era of Camaros late 60s thru early 70’s my first car in HS my Dad had gotten for my oldest Brother to drive and he did very hard Brand New 1976 Pontiac 455 4 Speed Trans Am white exterior and red interior with red bird my brother drove just a year and for his Graduation he got a 1977 Grand Prix SJ that they added T Tops and my Dad drove T/A some until I got my DL my middle brother didn’t want anything to do with TA and 4 Speed that car was So Much Fun My middle brother graduation he got a 1979 Camaro Z 28 350 engine and Transmission I drove it some but I was graduating in 1982 and I was and still am a Trans Am guy and looked and looked well my Dad was working out of State and he told me that I needed to ride bus to Dallas and I didn’t know what he had found a friend went with me and my Brother picked us up and drove us to a Really Big Cheverolet Dealership and we were looking around and a salesman came and got me and I had to sign a lot of paperwork it took a while my Brother and Friend had been shown my car but I still didn’t know the salesman took me inside to showroom and it was a 1982 Camaro Z 28 Maroon exterior and maroon interior Really Pretty car first year for 3rd gen Camaros we drove home and I was up early at school my hometown Cheverolet Dealership had not gotten any Z28s yet and for a little while I was only one I knew of and I got popular Really fast especially with Girls and that was fine that car was so different from the 2nd generation T/A and Z 28 the handling was Awesome but the 305 so called V8 was pitts and metric 200 transmission plastic parts I would have been faster with 243 V6 but the car was fun drove a long time I have all the sudden noticed those cars are starting to get some Love I Always knew it I could have done more it would be fun I don’t really see You go over that time with the 3rd generation and I do understand why I am Really liking how they add all what they do now! Great Job!
Could a Camaro be ordered with the RS style lower backup lights and slotted tail lights like the blue race Camaro in this video but have the standard grill? I owned a SS Camaro with the RS style rear end but always believed someone swapped out the hidden headlights for a standard SS grill. Perhaps it had some minor front damage and the standard grill was easier to find? I don't know. This was before all this information was easy to access. Thanks for all the great videos.
Like many people, I wouldn't really care much about what it was originally, I'd be thinking about what I could turn it into. To a purist I'm sure they would consider it an unholy abomination, but it's not as if there's much original car left to worry about.
The X-11s also came with the chrome drip rail moldings along with the side gills and wheel well mouldings !

My SS is an X55 car. Base model 350 engine but it has the 712 custom interior and black vinyl top. Bought in 1974 and I have the protecto plate.
Wow!! you know your stuff!! Very interesting details!
Nice find. Hard to believe the floors are that good sitting out there. I must say them rally stripes are way to wide.😂🤣
Wished I had my 1969 Camaro still
Yes the pace cars came with the rally stripe. And they were orange.
Nice video. I just picked up a 69 Camaro project car the other day. Thank you for sharing

Once you got ut back on the road would you register it with the stamped Vin number or as a salvage?

Hi,can you decode my 68 camaro?
Have even seen a 69 with a m t side air scoops and it has x28 on the front fenders if so what are they worth
pace car's are SS's and they had Z28 (RALLY STRIPS), The rally sport would super seed the extra trim code
Be sure to check out the pace car video on the channel also!
👍

Great posting. Hope to build your channel.
I’m interested in buying that car. How do I get in touch with the owner?
Never seen one without gills
Why’d you edit out the upside down SS slipping off the bobcat forks? 😅
My 69 Camaro has X 22 on the firewall tag what package is that?
396 with the trim
