Probably the BBC (or some other) had some journalist commissioned to make a story about the flowers, so in order to make it look as if it is much more special than actually is, they ask those 3 players about it, and edit it in such a way to suggests they have brought it up.

Good luck to that request. I love Fed and Nadal but they won't beat Novak if they play. He's too much for them especially in their older yrs. Maybe if they were all the same age yeah Roger and Nadal would beat him 3/4 of the time.
Just another tennis match. It’s gonna be special to meet the man who owns this court. Rafa will have his chances make no mistake about it. This man knows how to play on all surfaces and is a proven battle hardened veteran. May the best man win. Good luck!
Djokovic is playing like nadal at AO this yr. No big opponents and tbh he’s just out rallying guys. Not much speed on the ground strokes or dominating much angle wise etc. just pushing style in a way (and yes Ik he isn’t) Nadal meanwhile looks on fire hitting crazy angles and spots since the first day. Dominating every point. And his serve oh man is a huge huge weapon this year. Hitting aces and digging himself out of holes. He will beat Federer if he can grind it to his backhand as Federer’s backhand has looked very weak this tournament. Rafa has dismantled querrey/kyrgios/tsonga who are bigger servers than Federer, so rafas returns will be even more dangerous for Fed allowing nadal to dictate the point. Nadal wins it. Plus nadal has a lot more momentum going into this with a victory over roger too recently(yes diff surface but winning still helps mentally) Nadal vs djoker rematch

These days both take more chances taking bigger cuts at the ball looking to end points quicker.
I like how djokovic has had a super easy draw and now in the semi finals Nadal and Federer are probably going to have a 5 set slugfest while djokovic is going to blow out agut in straight sets and be super fresh in the final and have a advantage over whoever he plays
I agree . AO 2017 was the last legacy match that was important for Fed in terms of slam differential and fed responded but Rafa has kept up and now this is another legacy match . Fed can’t lose this or else I think its inevitable Rafa catches up in slam count
