The way I see it is that you could try many potential layouts (center on tile, center on joint, center of room, center of doorway, etc, etc) and you would not get confused by having 10 different chalk lines snapped on a floor. It would also be an advantage shooting a perpedicular line from a kitchen down a hallway where you could never do a 6/8/10. usefull tool but I wonder if they offer one similar to the pls-hvl-100
I have quite a few lasers already, but this one would be a nice addition...especially for those kitchen layouts and basement diagonals (diamond pattern)...I'm gonna check the website for pricing and delivery! Thanks for the post! Very helpful.
i don't see how this is better then chalk lines and tile spacers. I like bosch and i love the accuracy you get with laser tools; i just have a hard time understanding how its better then old school methods.
And to all of those who say it gets the job done quicker.. no way it does. You will still have to rely on your hands placing things perfectly with a red line. Much easier to measure at the start and then place crossings between every line. That way you don't have to worry about anything
@yusufer5000 Do you think the fact that the laser line is above the mortar might be beneficial? You don't have to worry about covering your chalk lines. Just wondering because I am contemplating buying one.
I realize it is not a laser level. Maybe they could improve the next model as you laid the laser on the wall to project a straight line. I have a laser level but needed the bosch for laying floor tiles. I must say they are very good I hardly use a level anymore but maybe they should incorporate some battery recharge units because a while after not using the instrument the battery line is very weak. Possibly cordless batteries like a 10 volt rechargeable. That would make an invaluable tool.
I DID BUY ONE. WISH THEY HAD PLACED AN WATER LEVEL ON TOP OF IT. IT WOULD HELP EVEN BETTER. I WONDER WHY THEY DID NOT THINK OF IT? IT IS MORE OF A LINER ONLY YOU STILL HAVE TO DEPEND ON BASIC LEVELING TOOLS ALONG WITH THIS. I WISH THEY HAD A WATER LEVEL ON ITS CENTER HEAD AREA OR A COUPLE ON BOTH EDGES?
@h8cmercialsiam it doesn't work for wall lay outs ! my PLS is only good for 20 feet or less for fast small lay out . .did you happen to notice how the first tile he laid was way out of place ?
green laser is better in day light, tips for red lasers.. pencil and chalk after mark it in the floor. like I said in the other comment this is good to quick start!
quickest and best is to use plastic tile cross spacers. i was shocked when i saw that here in uk they dont use them, and walls looks terrible, if we did such terrible job in lithuania we just could get underpaid on unpaid at all. expensive materials should be fited 100percent acurate
Chillout Kawasaki. I don't think this was a comprehensive run down. More a quick demo. It would be a good tool if the guy knew how to tile sure. But he don't, he just knows how to switch the on/off button on... and off. This is a good tool for pre marking/setting out.
BAD LIGHTING IN MED LIT ROOM WEEK LASER AND YOU CANT USE IT TO START IN THE CORNER UNTIL YOU REACH ONE LEVEL UP SO THAT YO U CAN PLACE IT. I WASTED MONEY ON IT. WISH THEY HAD A WATER LEVEL ON TOP OF IT??
dont see the point of it , as long as you get a 90 degree from one corner ,tile spacers do the rest , having the GTL3 standing on the floor , its bound to get knocked and covered in glue lol
Seems a total waste of time and certainly not accurate enough, looks very messy to use and what a waste of R&D and money, that time could have been better spent trying to reduce the laser line down to a consistent 1 millimetre width - Now that would be a useful development, this block of plastic is good for nothing other than giving that guy a job on how not to demonstate a poorly designed product. If this is what they come up with I want a job as a designer at Bosch. Hands up how many people have magnetic walls in their house lol!?
Rubbish. 1.I dont spend that much time placing floor tiles in the first place. I use tile spacers between each tile and they do the job.I don't have to spend all of my time lining things up. 2. Who has magnetic walls? You've got a nice magnet at the bottom of it but in order to tile walls you'll need 3 hands; one to hold the damn thing and two to place the tiles. the demonstration on the wall was ridiculous. I can imagine this product having other purposes but not necessary for tiling.
horrible demo! you should really have a tile guy do the demo so he can point out how it makes our job easier...That guy in a suit sucks I stll want to keep looking
I have the gll 3-80 and it is incredible I love the 360 degree laser on 3 axe but: the battery are draining fast when you use all the laser on it to do the same job than this one, and it 3 time the price. depend on what you plan to do.

Don't worry, everydays a school day 📚📖

Any advise on a commercial kitchen floor that slopes toward drains?
Sorry for the double posts, it has been doing that lately, have no idea. niways, thanks for the explanation.
I would like to see a laser square that measures the line distance as well.
Looks like a handy piece of kit
have you any idea whether bosch "line lasers" are brighter or dewalt? what about "tile lasers"?
If this apparatus had a rear laser guide it would be perfect!
i don't see how this is better then chalk lines and tile spacers. I like bosch and i love the accuracy you get with laser tools; i just have a hard time understanding how its better then old school methods.

What is the visible line length. It seems to get weaker rather quickly ???
I think is not wasting money if you think in quick start in a project... after that you don't need it.. good tools is good investment always!

How much distance the laser light travels
how does it project laser beams on the floor?
What kind of battery does it use?

Pratico e fácil manuseio para assentar pisos e azulejos muito bom. E não precisa falar in gles para entender o funcionamento.

what about retina damage? Isn't the laser right in your face?
I would like something that gives this diagonal line but i can use it on a tripod, any such tool?
I DID BUY ONE. WISH THEY HAD PLACED AN WATER LEVEL ON TOP OF IT.

I got one, doesn't work too well in rooms with much light.
Thats why the room in this video is dark

No se me hace buen invento. Creo que es la idea de explotar el uso del laser en una herramienta poco util

Too short lines. There are $15 ones that does the same.
