I imagine it’s difficult being born a stray & these kitties probably didn’t realize HOW DIFFICULT it was until they experience something else (better). Seems she’s found a sense of safety, connection & comfort w/Coco💜 & has latched on bcz she never wants to lose it. 💜💙
Now I'm a very logical, "show me the evidence" type of person. I can't prove it, but I believe animals know it when they're safe. They know the difference between being treated with kindness by someone who isn't going to rescue them from their situation, and being treated with kindness by someone who is never going to allow them to suffer ever again. It's this wave of realization and relief that comes upon them. From then on, the rescued animal is different. No idea how they know, but they know! You can see this when a pet goes to their forever home and they almost immediately fall asleep. How anyone can harm and neglect helpless animals is a concept I will never, ever grasp. Knowing of an animal being mistreated and then doing absolutely nothing about it is just as disgusting as the actual creatures perpetrating the abuse.

My Cat Bailey, a beautiful long haired white kitty girl was like this with my St. Bernard Kane. She was tiny for a full grown cat and he was very large even compared to other St. Bernard’s. She would lay on him, snuggle next to him, had to be brushed with his brush and was just in love with him. He was very gentle with her. She would lay in the window and he would come up and put his head on her while they looked out the window together. She tried to clean him, and was never far away from where he was at.
God bless you for looking after these beautiful animals. You are going to have a special place in heaven. I have 4 strays, one being extremely faral, but after two years she is finally starting to trust me and even comes up to be petted from time to time. 😺💖

Coco avoids staring at Maggie so she doesn't feel that he's a threat. Her foster or adopter will need to know about slow blinks and play therapy. This could also help Maggie relax. I do hope she finds a great home. This would free up a spot to rescue another cat in need. ♥️😺

That kitty has one of the prettiest little faces that I've ever seen! I use to rescue street cats too, the most I had at one time was 12. I had my own 5 rescue cats, and then I rescued a very pregnant cat that gave birth to 6 kittens, I was also living in 500 square feet at the time, and had to keep the two groups separated.
