  • Thanks for checking out this video, it's the first one I've ever done so apologies for the terrible editing and the lack of volume when the camera is on the tripod 🤦‍♂️😂
    Hope you've found it useful, good luck on the bank 🎣🎣

    The cotswold trident 2 to 3 rod is my favourite, and it would fit nicely in my angling as I am a fan of camo.

    Good watch , with the peek being so high have you had any trouble in high winds with it ? Packing down do you fold the broken down arms into the boss then roll it up ?

    • @OldSkoolCarpMan
      @OldSkoolCarpMan  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'll admit to being a fair weather angler these days 🤦‍♂️😂
      I've had it up with strong winds blowing from behind the bivvy which was zero problem but not from the front yet.
      And yes, that's exactly how I put it away, plenty of space in the bag too so it's quite easy.

      @@OldSkoolCarpMan thanks for the info yes I was worried about the peek but titans are so sturdy and robust I don’t think would be a problem , packing down my mr2 was a mare getting it back in bag lol but I guess if roll it properly shouldn’t be a problem , thank you

    Great review,thinking about replacing my older titan t1 with one of these.
    Do you know if its the same material?
    Are you still pleased with it??

    • @OldSkoolCarpMan
      @OldSkoolCarpMan  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cheers 😊
      I did around 8 nights in it in hot and wet weather and was happy with it in both.
      I really like the ventilation you can still have when it's raining.
      The material is different to the previous model, it's 20,000 hydrostatic head instead of 5,000 before. It's not too thick but feels tough enough and of decent quality.

  • @chucky1golf
    @chucky1golf ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for making this I was interested in maybe upgrading from the mrk2 but since I have the 100t as well probably won't. The extra zipped windows look useful being able to adjust them from the inside is clever in tight swims, but I can't say I ever felt I needed more head room in a titan. They are very dark inside and do stay cool because of that even on hot days. My favourite bivvy ❤

      Tbh I'm a terrible fair weather angler these days so I didn't get to use it in properly cold conditions but with the inner capsule you won't get condensation even in winter as there's a decent gap gap between the inner and outer shell.

    did you have problems with the tension bar? I owned alot of Titans and have always been satisfied, but since this mesh solution in the new pro models instead of the clip for the tension bar i have alot of struggles. If i put it inside the mesh and try to clip the tension bar onto the poles it only goes with ALOT of force and the 'clips' at each end of the tension bar look very unhealthy out of shape. Definitly not how its supposed to be, i tried around for an hour in all ways i could think of, but i did not find a solution.

    • @OldSkoolCarpMan

    What bedchair do you have, it looks like it’s more or less touching at both ends? Is it 210cm long?
    The extra height makes such a difference to useable space, technically a smaller footprint (2.76m wide x 2.28m deep) than a 100t (2.6m wide x 2.4m deep).
    Great video, thanks.

I always had it installed in older models until a friend said, try it without, its another world. Highly recommend if you dont mind insects... after All, why'd u call yourself a fisherman when u buy a tent with a capsule to avoid nature? ;)
