Thanks! Yes the major steps are all complete - I wanted to document the entire process in case other amateurs wanted to attempt to restore an old beetle. It seems like you need about 141 videos to get through the entire process. Of course I built the 1968cc motor separately and that is in a different playlist - so maybe you need 175 videos to do the entire thing start to finish with a motor as well.

Man you bug looks awesome! Love what you have done! Sad to know is done and we won’t be seeing more of it! But we’re happy for you to be able to finish it and enjoy it.👌😎👍great job!

Thanks! So I’ll probably post a few more with walk arounds of the bus and bug and probably Beetle 0-60 drive…

Yeah - all of these things come in handy - the switch is good if you leave the key on with the motor off and don’t want your electric fuel pump to pump into your carb valve when the bowls are already full and no fuel is moving!

Nice stereo setup! Time to enjoy the car. I added a back up camera to my ‘65. The channel Fixin Bugs and Stuff has a video about a wiper fluid pump upgrade, look for the video titled something like ‘bug components overview’. Can the cell phone holder go landscape?

Ah yes - I do still need to make the wiper fluid work. That tank with the air pressure valve is just silly - and there is a way to attach the spare tire air pressure. But I don’t know which switch I would need to turn on the washer fluid - so I need to Google that as well…

'66 bugs had a dual function wiper switch - center of knob was the washer fluid and outer part of knob was wiper speed.
I had a spare dash hole as well and I set it up as a fog light switch with a vintage fog light.
Looking good and thank you for the video.

Would you happen to have a link to where you bought the USB port? Also what is the diameter for the USB port? Thanks

This is the one I bought - looks like it needs a 1.13 inch hole minimum. I didn’t want it illuminated, and am not using the marine water flap since it is inside the car. a.co/d/94k5jTU Also - I broke it while installing because of the tight space and the twisting, so I ended up using epoxy to hold it together where I pulled off the rear part on the threaded section…

Maybe a Karman Ghia for the next project?

I have to think about the next one - I did Google shortening a beetle chassis for use in a 356 roadster kit car.
