I agree. What made me choose him was the fine line between his confidence, vulnerability, and defensiveness. He can act like a child at times, but it feels realistic and relatable.
I thought this was so funny because I got it right when the Shadows popped up. "Hey, I know we're fighting demon ghost things that can possess us, but I just want you to know I am ✨️horny✨️ right now. But we have to wait for that, c'mon, you should know that!" MY FANTASY HUSBAND, YOU BROUGHT IT UP.
LOL I’m on my second play thru and I had forgotten about this scene until I got it again last night in the Shadowlands. I missed the larger implications of what’s going on here the first time bc I was still torn between him and Astarion at the time and wasn’t paying as close attention to Gale’s storyline. I’m sticking with only him this time and when this scene triggered last night my….my face literally turned red 😅 Poor lil dude got his orb stabilized and he’s ✨ready to go ✨ ….. as soon as possible. Uh… I wouldn’t have phrased it this way, but, same darling TAKE ME TO THE WEAVE!!!!

I told him to destroy the pixie necromancy ritual thing in that room and he got REAL snippy about it at first, but then he got Mystra’s Benevolence buff thru the rest of the dungeon and said he can feel Mystra reaching out with a subtle strand of weave to protect him..I am a patient woman regarding the Mystra situation but I would’ve gone a little bit yandere if he’d started talking about “thrills” after that conversation 😂😂
I went with the 'I'm not much of a reader; but I have seen some very informative diagrams' - his reaction is priceless! His interest is clearly peaked and he says they should find time to compare notes because it would be a shame for such valuable information to go to waste (or something along those lines). XD
This conversation was triggered after our first encounter when we were fighting the shadows. I'm playing a berserker barbarian, and I like to imagine that he gets his rocks off every time she enters a rage. It's weirdly??? Sweet????
I got this right after defending Isobel and I can’t tell you how hard I laughed (picked the ‘what are you saying exactly’ option and was not disappointed lol)
So i got this dialogue right after beating the Act 2 final boss, while standing in the throne room filled with people. Which was odd enough (I assume Mystra was into him for his audacity more than his timing).... but I also _wasn't romancing Gale at the time,_ and had never romanced him before, or ever brought him to that fight. So I didn't know what the hell was happening - I _was_ romancing Astarion... who was just awkwardly standing in the background looking vaguely confused while Gale started asking my equally confused Durge about sex books Genuinely thought Gale was just being awkward until he asked me to break up later because apparently he'd decided I was cheating on him. Due to what i assume was some horrendous off-screen blow to the head, we continued to break up for the rest of the game Because he never seemed to remember it had happened One of the more entertaining and baffling bugs I've ever experienced
I already liked Gale in EA but i can't thank Larian enough for sanding the arrogant edges off of Gale for a much more awkward, well meaning character

Can this happen any time or does it have to be triggered? I think I missed it cause I'm almost in act 3 😭
it gets triggered whenever you win a fight with gale in your party (and im sure a bunch of other stuff)
