Nice demo. I think there's a 200 watt head version of the Flesh Rot in the works. I own THE Fuzz and Slaughter pedals, both very brutal! Looking forward to your upcoming THE pedal reviews. 🤘
Listen to old Suffocation, Mortal Decay, Animosity, Misery Index or Dying Fetus and you've got an example of what the original amp sounds like when boosted with an EQ or a Tube Screamer-ish overdrive. The pedal with Shift knob at noon is pretty much 1:1 match when used as a preamp.
I've had the vh-140c head as my main amp since 1996 but have recently bought a headrush rig so as to stop having to lug such heavy equipment anymore. The snk and this one seem to be doing it right and since the snk isn't available right now, I think I'll snag this up and see if I can integrate it into my headrush with an ir and maybe get close to my old precious tone. Thanks for the fantastic in-depth review!
Didn't know he used it. The amp is mostly known for being used by the 90s and 00s US and Canada brutal/tech death bands. The whole NY and Maryland scenes with the likes of Suffo, Pyrexia, Dying Fetus and Internal Bleeding, as well as the early Gorguts (they also started using these live again recently) and a few lesser-known bands. It's generally considered as THE amp for old school death metal tone, along with Marshall Valvestate and GX line Crates.
I got ThisHeavyEarth's Titan pedal and their Grim3. I like them both a lot and Shea seems like a pretty decent dude. Couldn't imagine him making a bad pedal, imo,

As you could see on my Insta, plenty of reviews are coming.
The THE amps are very tempting however I don't think I'll actually need those!
Thanks for the review. I got it. It is outstanding and i highly recommend it.

Decent Sound? Shit, I love this sound! It's popeappreciationly disgusting!
I appreciate the breakdown. I just ordered this pedal and will refer to this video when I try to dial in some tones.
I have an Aion FX VH Drive. It is a 1:1 recreation of the VH140 preamp. I can attest that it sounds exactly like a VH140.

Definitely on my pedalboard needs list. Have a guptech veg1. Only vh140c player I know of is Buckethead.

Do you have a picture/link of that? He certainly does not use one recently when playing live.

Meins kam auch heute an und ich finde es richtig fett nach den ersten kurzen Tests am interface und power amp.
