Love this band & album! I saw these guys on a triple bill with Tesla & Great White in 1989. Great White couldn't play because Jack Russell had laryngitis, but the other two acts played extra long sets to make up for it. What a fantastic concert!
One of my heroes of all time, was 14 at the time this came out and bands like Badlands and guys like Ray turned my whole life around, and not just music wise but lifestyle wise and I thank the Man up above for introducing me to the best freaking and in your face genre that, to me, will ever exist, and of course I also thank him for putting people like Ray, we sure need many like you Big Ray, R.I.P mi hermano.
Standin' here, I got my eye on you Your story bleeds, but there's no review Honey drip and set my soul on fire Stealin' hearts got me walkin' the wire You're gonna lose control All night long When I find my love, love, love High wire Flash a smile, like a shiny blade Everyone there thinks ya got it made Sorry, child, can you take me higher But you keep me hangin' on your lonely wire You're gonna lose control All night long When I find my love, love, love High wire Oh, feels so good You give me lovin' like no one could You turn me child, inside out Still you leave me drownin' in a sea of doubt You're gonna lose control All night long You're gonna steal my soul, mama You can't go wrong When I find my love, love, love High wire Love, love, love Oh, sweet child, I know where you come from now High wire, baby Oh, oh, oh
That vocal at the end of the verses with that "LOVE LOVE LOO-OOOVE'"!!!!!!! rips my head off every damn time, and I Love it and the following crawling guitar riff that follows is classic bad assery!!!!!!!!!!!
Simply amazing!! And a beyond talented talented musician in Jake E Lee who thank god is still alive and still producing fantastic music. We are all blessed to have had such a phenomenal talent
I used to be in a band called Valhalla we played around Aiken Augusta area. We used to open this song you can imagine how Rowdy those gigs got after that Badlands is one of the best most Kick-Ass bands ever
I agree with you. Most people are solidly in the Randy Rhoads camp, with a few in Zakk's, but very few think of Jake as being the best guitarist Ozzy ever had. Lemmy Kilmister once said that the most exciting guitar player he had ever seen besides Jimi Hendrix was Jake E. Lee.
Because of a long standing legal issue between the record company, Gillen, and the families of HIV victims he had apparently intentionally infected. Not kidding. Some seriously f'ed up stuff happened.
Jake E. Lee- guitar Ray Gillen- vocals (he recorded the original vocals for The Eternal Idol with Sabbath and went on tour with them, but then his vocals were erased and replaced with Tony Martin's) Greg Chaisson- bass (don't know what happened with him) Eric Martin- drums (later became Kiss's drummer)

Jake E. Lee is such a god damn monster. Love this shit.
So bad ass...this album is timeless...
This is one of the best albums ever made....amazing musicianship.
This demands to be turned up wide open!!
I got to know Ray, (what a loss). met him at the scrap bar nyc, down to earth dude he was. There is no talent like this anymore. Always loved Jake.
Totally agree
1 of the greatest albums ever created🎉
One of the best albuns ever made. Jake rips and Ray Gillen was just unreal !!
Man, this band didn't get the props it should have. Vocals are amazing. So is the EVERYTHING else in this band.
Yea they were just taking off. Love it🤘
Love this band & album! I saw these guys on a triple bill with Tesla & Great White in 1989. Great White couldn't play because Jack Russell had laryngitis, but the other two acts played extra long sets to make up for it. What a fantastic concert!
I saw this tour in Chicago. They absolutely ripped!

The guitar tone is superb
Ain't that the truth!❤
Distribution of this album stopped aling time ago so good luck finding a copy. Chalk one up for TH-cam 🤘🏼
I found it on cassette in a thrift store like 15 years ago. It is just like looking for a needle in a haystack
Probably the one of the most underrated album ever.
That song kicks so much ass!!!!!!!!
Can’t stop. Amazing. Forever….

Ray had some pipes
Great playing by Jake E Lee as well

I miss Ray very much. Long live rock-'n'-roll!!!! ❤
Saw them at the Stone in SF with Vicious Rumors New Years eve 1990. What a show
I was there too.! My band Lord Have Mercy opened for them at the Omni in 91/92
Pure rock and roll.
Brilliant album. One of my favorite metal albums ever!
Brillant album, and performance from all four guys❤❤❤❤......Great mix of Led Zeppelin and Old White Snake...great heavy blues rock🤘🤘🤘🤘
Jake laying down some stunning guitar.
Thank you Simonas! Been craving this song for weeks! Not available on Spotify for some odd reason. WTF?! You rock!
Such a tight band with all 4 members making excellent musical choices. So good...
Saw them open up for Great White and Tesla in 89 or 90. Underrated Band!!!
Eric Singer Rocks!
WHAT A BADASS SONG,ALBUM AND BAND. THESE GUYS ARE OURE ROCK AND ROLL, SOUL
Still kickin my ass... 12/2024
I used to be in a band called Valhalla we played around Aiken Augusta area. We used to open this song you can imagine how Rowdy those gigs got after that Badlands is one of the best most Kick-Ass bands ever
I grew up in the Augusta area myself..... I don't remember hearing Badlands on WBBQ... 😂 This is seriously one of the greatest bands ever.
Miss you Ray. \m/

One of the best albums ever and definitely Eric Singers was on the top of style, tech.
The very year I became trade certified... back when the cassette tapes and CDs were cranking... Me I was a sleeping 😮
I was in little league when this came out. This was my tape to play on the way to a big game
Total Bad asses!!! Jake E Lee kills it!! And Ray Gillen was one of the best vocalists ever!!

🤘
This album is straight up ( . Y .) 🎸
Nice crisp recording. 👍
This band was in its own era
BADLANDS 2022
Best Ozzy Osbourne guitar player ever. Sorry guys. Badlands amazing band.
Randy has entered the chat...
Lee.
That's no denying Randy's skill but Jake is genuinely at a much higher level in reality.
Why is it not available on Apple Music ?
Because of a long standing legal issue between the record company, Gillen, and the families of HIV victims he had apparently intentionally infected. Not kidding. Some seriously f'ed up stuff happened.
ikr
from my understanding it’s very hard to find this on anything even cd. i got lucky and my dad had a cd with this on it along with other good stuff
Issues with Ray knowingly spreading the HIV to unsuspecting women, to make it short
Ray had HIV and spread it knowingly before he died... Industry blacklisted the band and stopped selling their albums.
I agree they should of been bigger then they were fact
Ozzy is pissed JEL did not write this music for him.
Like led Zeppelin
He sounds more like Coverdale than plant
No comparison
Badsnake or Whitelands?
Very Babylon AD. Or should I say, Babylon AD is very Badlands.
They got Cops Baby
Always thought they be much much bigger
ROCK N FUCKING ROLL YO. FUCK RAP MUSIC !!! 🤘🔥
Why no Spotify
Line-up? Lead guitar =jake-e-lee after ozzy;vocal=tony martin sabbath? Bass/drum?🤔
Jake E. Lee- guitar
Ray Gillen- vocals (he recorded the original vocals for The Eternal Idol with Sabbath and went on tour with them, but then his vocals were erased and replaced with Tony Martin's)
Greg Chaisson- bass (don't know what happened with him)
Eric Martin- drums (later became Kiss's drummer)
@@lanceash -- Eric *SINGER on drums.
@@DunmoresMovieMania Did I say Martin? Shit.
@@lanceash -- haha, *Tony* Martin was still stuck in your head...
@@DunmoresMovieMania No, I think I got confused because the drummer on the second album was Jeff Martin.
Aun me gusta más su tono cuando era guitarrista con Ozzy....
Ozzy couldn’t control Jake E. Or zakk. Good job guys. Jake e lee is the boss
Black sabbath
Sounds more like Greta Van Fleet than Greta Van Fleet
the singer sounds spinal tappish
What? Are you insane?
