💿🎚🎛🎚💿❤️💯👍✌️oldschool for ever,,,I was just cruising from Chicago to Indianapolis..and Indianapolis back ,,, memories like mofoker,,, will never die,,, this is music,,,
yea bad boy bill has always been able to put it down. when i hear this mix, reminds of carrying around some ridiculous over-sized boom box back in the day. thing was the size of a large fish tank and took like 12 C batteries. but we had to take our mixes with us everywhere and of course, make our tapes, lmao. thanks WHTSOXX74 for your wonderful vids from a fellow south side fan :)
My girls from Chicago and I’ve heard a couple of their mixes from browsing the Internet. I’m a 27-year-old blind DJ originally from New York City but I can definitely appreciate what you guys were doing back in the day. Ironically, I’m sitting next to her as I type this, lol.
I grew up on this music and these mixtapes I found on TH-cam years ago in high school. Everyone gave me shit for listening to it, and now my generation and younger are all obsessed with the 80s 😂
Man those were the days when we all hung out at galaxy disco sunday nite... Driving through Melrose PK and Stone PK LOOKING FOR TROUBLE.. but we didn't care, some how we were never late to get to Proviso West on time.. Pastor Luis A, Prado

*_BMX stood for Black Music Xperience, and the "AM" 1490 signal switched on at night after the daytime ethnic station atop a hotel in Oak Park went off !_* How about a little Kirby span the all night blues man, or WJPC owned by Johnson Publishing Company, even rap radio AM 950 with Pink House. WVON stood for Voice of the Negro. WGC and dot that I too.
Clinton Ortiz, yes route ended short of Harlem, at turn around terminal. Grand av. was old Indian trail settlers called Whiskey trail. After old road house stop once located where Armitage intersects Grand, just before Laramie..

Thanks for posting this, it's really interesting. I'm from London England, and although we've got a very cutting edge music scene I can honestly say that I only know about 40% of these songs from back in the day. I've played this to a few of my friends and they agree. It's strange though, I went to a nightclub in Los Angeles in 2001 and everyone was really getting into hardcore trance and hardcore techno, although in England that scene had been and gone some eight years previously.
Matthew Brown Matthew Brown It’s not that L.A. is behind in the scene. The Hardcore Techno & Trance that you heard is what lingers because we love it so much that we don’t let it go to waste. Too much rave history of the late 80s & throughout the 90s which sticks to people’s minds that went through that era. Personally, that’s a great thing to have!! I still listen to it all like its new fresh out the box. I’m not just going to listen to something & get into it because it’s the new thing, especially if I don’t like it.
Walk around the corner you step right in! You looking for a place you never been I never met a girl quite so fine sino must admit that you"re the one step inside I"ll show you my tricks and show you the meaning of a real hot mix hang me a record and throw me a kiss;
Damn this brings back some memories! Crusin out to Rush street then to 31st & Lake Shore Drive, smokin weed, drinkin', messin' with the honeys, then getting some Coleman's BBQ Rib Tips! The Good Ol' Days!
I would also stay up all night trying to record, But how many can remember, If we would fall asleep and our brother or sister would stay up and get all the good recording, we would get a little mad, lol
