For anyone who is actually interested: Swancore is not really a genre but a group of bands loosely affiliated with the progressive metalcore band Dance Gavin Dance, whose guitarist, Will Swan, started his own label called Blue Swan. They're mainly noted for clean singing, a well produced, modern edge and a generally softer sound than some of the other core subgenres, Deathcore and death metal are used interchangeably by people often to make fun of metal subgenres, but they are quite different. Deathcore borrows a lot from death metal, mainly the aesthetics, lyrical themes, riff motifs, and aggressive screams and squeals that often sound like animal noises. The defining difference is that suffix, -core, which originates from hardcore punk. In a nutshell, it simply just means riffed verses and breakdowns, or bridges that are incredibly slow, rhythmic, and often easy to play (often literally using 0 or 1 finger on a guitar string, earning it the affectionate nickname of "binary") compared to solos which are more melodic and much more difficult to play, which death metal musicians often favor. By the way you're going to have a target on your back from greasy metalheads if you ever mention that a genre with "core" in its name can be considered metal. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

They were joking that he "roached out", because at a certain point in a dungeon someone said to run, and instead of utilizing his utility on mage to help his teammates escape, he ran away only caring for his own character.
