Very interested in this one. I love when Western gurus actually use the products as intended instead of making fun of them because they didn't bother to research what the products are meant for.

Elle Mathews often they make fun of them for being more sheer, or having less pigment when that is how it’s intended because kbeauty is focused more on a healthy complexion and natural beauty.
THIS. I'm so tired of seeing beauty gurus saying that Korean makeup isn't pigmented enough when they don't know how the products are meant to be used. Different beauty standards, different makeup trends.
Sisimor To be fair, some of us have dark skin and even among western products, some colors just look the same on dark skin. I don’t trash Korean makeup as I have lip tints but I stay away from the color products.
@@rimun5235 but korea doesn't mainly have dark skinned people. There is, but the percentage is quite low. And brands like m.a.c and others are in korea too. Some darknskinned people simply choose them there.

As someone who's lived in Korea for 10 years, I usually find myself disappointed when watching Western beauty gurus try Korean products. They, like you said, pick super gimmicky products, or hold it up to a western beauty standard that isn't what the product claims to do for the user. That being said, I really liked your review! You tested all the products really thoroughly^^~ Also 3CE is the BEST brand! Their single eyeshadows are some of my favorites in general, even compared with western brands. They also make beautiful powder blushes as well.
yes! and also some Western beauty guru's don't use Korean products cause it's not pigmented when that's how it's supposed to be 😔

I LOVE 3CE, their multipot is honestly so useful. You can bring it anywhere, you can built it up, you can sheer it out, you can use it for your lips and cheeks and eye (always be sanitary about it though). I love it

green I lived in a townhouse, my neighbors were always partying late, there would always be a ton of people outside talking n laughing loudly. I worked til midnight and had young kids, my youngest was 2 at the time, my kids rooms were connected to the walls of their townhouse. I put up with it most nights. Well one night I was so tired, my 2yr old was super sick, it’s 3am on a weekday night, so I go next door n ask if they would quiet down, have their friends go inside. A guy acted nice enough n was like “si si” (my neighbors were Mexican, not that I cared). I’m back home, I’m laying down with my sick child in her bed, not 15 minutes later the outside noise gets louder, someone has a basketball and is bouncing it on the ground and on my patio wall!! So I go back downstairs, I open my door and I see not 1, not 2, but 3 fuckin guys sitting on my car and leaning on it!! I’m like get off my car, they look at me while speaking Spanish n laugh at me. The ball bouncing was from 2 boys with a basketball and continuing to bounce it on ground and my patio wall. I go knock on door, finally get the woman who lives there and I say hey I’ve been a nice neighbor ive never complained about your partying or anything else, but this is ridiculous, told her I had already been by, how her guests are sitting on my car and bouncing a ball against my patio wall, and became louder after I came the first time. She didn’t speak English that well and I really don’t think she understood what I was saying clearly, so I got her teenage son to speak for me (he was a lovely kid, worked and went to school, took care of his car good and always ask if I needed help with car washing or groceries). So I’m walking back to my part and I hear the guys speaking Spanish and say “ Estúpida perra blanca” and I said back “Te mostraré estúpido”, let me tell you the look on his face was like oh shit. So I said screw this rang up my landlords and the husband was quick to shut their party down. I’m not one to call the cops or landlords or whatever, but I had put up with so much by them, months on end of endless crap, I was always nice to them, the lady had multiple kids n her youngest was same age as mine, I’d offer to watch her so mom could get things done, I’d have her over for play dates, I was so nice to their family and never made a stink when they were loud or partying, or when their friends/family always parked in my parking or blocked my car from double parking, etc. But to be treated so nasty, to be called a stupid white bitch, to have my nice car that I paid for treated like it was nothing, have someone bounce a basketball over n over shaking the glass vibrating your wall, all this at 3am, I was just done being the nice guy who gets walked all over.
This was 10 years ago, I’ve owned a home for years now, my back neighbor has 5 jack Russell terriers who bark all day long, 3 in a half years now of all day barking n still no call to anyone lol, it takes a lot to push me to that point. Can’t say the same for my other neighbors who have made calls on the dogs though, lol, they really do bark all day every day.
It sucks having inconsiderate neighbors, it makes neighbors to end having animosity’s towards one another, which isn’t good when y’all live so close to each other.

All my skin care is Korean too and honestly I've had the best results from using the products better than anything American I've used. I made the transition over because I just had this thought that their skin is always so beautiful and they stay so young looking. so obviously they really know what they're doing skin care wise.

@@nancyhernandez2271 When i was just getting into it I liked to use Cosrx products! You should check out websites like Yesstyle, Sokoglam, Wishtrend, Olive young, etc. bc there are a lot of options for different needs and price points and most of it is really high quality!!

I believe he mentioned some of this in his eye brush video. More synthetic type brushes are coming out now due to the popularity of being vegan or cruelty-free. Natural hair bristles are preferred when it comes to blending. Check out his favorite eyeshadow brushes video and maybe that'll answer some of your questions. 🙂

I love K-beauty, the only issue I have is that it's sometimes hard finding products that work with my skin tone!
Also, thank you for addressing the current situation. It's so important to look after each other and not be selfish at a time like this. Everything is so new in dealing with this coronavirus and as a Scientist working in the Pharma industry research is advancing at a breakneck pace in trying to find the right treatment. The best we can do for now is to take care of one another, and to wash our hands regularly with soap. Soap's mechanism of action destroys the structural integrity of Covid-19, killing it completely.

I'm really glad you mentioned people making K beauty look gimmicky. I've been using K beauty since I was a teen, too and it's great stuff. People are disappointed by the shade ranges and I understand, but there's plenty else to explore. Their skincare, lip tints, mascaras, eyeliners and shadows I think can be enjoyed by everyone :) they're really bringing it lately with the pigment in shadows too.

I've been using Korean skincare ever since I was 14, I'm 26 now, and that taught me everything about skincare. Korean skincare is in a league of it's own and only getting better.

When it comes to sunscreens, Japan blows it out of the park. They're just so lovely to use (as someone who also deals with oily/combo skin), and especially during the highly humid summers.
My go-to BB cream is Skin79. I know a lot of people will hate the shade range, but it's one of the few brands that makes it light and neutral enough for my pale-arse complexion. Used to use Etude House, but they revamped their shade range and it's now too orange on me. But, their sheet masks are BOMB.

Also, you say you don't like glitter because it's so messy, but this look and the elf look that you did with their glitter eyeshadow looks absolutely STUNNING. I hope that you're able to develop a renewed love for glitter by finding more stable glitter products that don't fall all over your face. This soft, glittery eye look that you've done here is absolutely beautiful on you.

Yes, I really wanted this sort of a video, because I would love to know more of K-Beauty. I also love the Missha BB Cream, because for my dry skin, it gives me such a nice and flawless look, without making weird skin pieces flake, hope that makes sense. I love it because I see barely no texture. I recommend not using a lot, because it can look a bit oily😂

The thing I LOOOOVE about you is you teach so much/give really helpful tips about makeup that mostly I for some reason already know/apply myself haha and it feels great to actually get validation from such an amazing MUA!! Like using a cooler color for a contour instead of warm bronzy ones that I hate like damn I never hear anything like that from anyone else its just so right like ugh I looove you!
