Granted, this was a long time ago, but this was my thought process. I figured there was no way to solve the world’s problems in 250 words, so I tried to go for something humorous - if being able to pull all-nighters was a good skill for a lawyer to have, I was perfectly suited for the profession. I had to regularly pull 1-2 all-nighters per week as the editor-in-chief of my college newspaper, so it was not totally silly and tied into other aspects of my application. A professor later told me the essay played a significant role in my admission to YLS.

Was this video created before or after the prompt changed to become more academic-focused?

2:20 the essay prompt explicitly says you aren’t supposed to write about a hobby! It should related to academic, extracurricular, or professional experience

While shouldn't be 'why Yale', should we link the topic to law if there is actually some connection between the 2 areas?
And when i say link the topic to law, i don't mean to say 'why law school', but simply drawing parallel between the two.
