Got to love seeing the Medusa Shield drop like the very instant you walked away. This game has a sense of humor. x'D
It was so satisfying to watch you optimize the familiar farm one step at a time until you got the rhythm lol that was one of my favorite things to do end-game on all of my runs!
Flying Zombie is inspired by Philippine folk lore "Manananggal" but in the lore, they're women that grows wings while leaving their bottom half to fly and have long tongues to eat babies from pregnant women through their navels and one sure fire way to kill them is find the bottom half and sprinkle salt on it so they can't land and will die when the sun hits them. They're like vampires in a way I suppose but they are not undead or zombie and are normal people until they become monsters or "Aswang" by eating a sort of cursed black pebble handed down by their parents to them.
LFG I enjoyed these series ❤ congrats on the completion!!!!!!!
I enjoyed this series. Thanks DB!
There is a way to maybe optimize this, I Mentioned before having tried killing "recently met" enemies time and time again, because they give a ton of experience when you meet them for the first time, and if you kill them in quick succession after tht, you stilll get that amount of exp... so the last achievement could be a bit faster
Farming is generally better with duplicator and power of sire. You can boost your luck with the potion.
Really depends on what you're farming. It's only better if Power of Sire kills the enemy faster than manually killing them, and only if that speed overcomes the improved odds from the luck build. There honestly aren't many enemies you need to farm where that's the case.
best achievement was siting in the chair and watch the owl life cicle, clasic alucard stuff
Nope room with the octopuses with duplicator and power of sire. Jump on the ledge above them fire it off and jump repeat.

First Comment. And great to see al Achievements done. Waiting for Dawn of Sorrow Achievements.
Do you think you'll ever go back and streamline it? Like, is this a run you think you'll ever grind? Or was this just for the sake of doing it?
Think about the most time-intensive parts of the run. Except for the trio fight, they were almost entirely the rare drops, which is RNG-heavy, combined with the bestiary (which is a natural byproduct of the rare drops quest plus a few extra low effort fights), followed by the levelling up which was already pretty optimized over the many sessions. RNG is a speedrunner's bane, and it's very clear that DB being human can only go so far to "optimize luck" for things like the rare drops achievement when the game doesn't even necessarily respect the supposed percentages for rare drops for whatever reasons.
@@apollolux I mean, yes and no. He took multiple attempts on a number of the boss fight achievements, had sub-optimal movement for a large part of the run, made several small mistakes like using items when he shouldn't have, etc. There's definitely a lot he could do to actively make the run more efficient in terms of execution. That said, the other part of your post is true, in that he could make all of those changes then get screwed by RNG and end up with the same or worse time. I'm just saying that if he got similar RNG to what he did here (which, statistically, is likely given how many different odds he has to face throughout the grind,) but executed perfectly, I'm sure he could shave off over a half hour if he wanted to, if not more.
The parts he could improve aren't the most time-intensive parts, since those generally were straightforward and required a single, repeatable strategy. It's everything in between.
@@RuinaLux Fair enough. What I should've also done in my comment was differentiate between what could be improved by optimizing through skill and repetition versus what's out of the player's control such as RNG like you did in your comment. DB is definitely a player who's more than capable of putting in the effort to grind the skill-based optimizations, but given how RNG-heavy arguably the longest singular portion of the 100% achievements collection is I would gather it's exceedingly soul-crushing for him to do it again _and_ still maintain a relatively high skill level for double-digit hours even split over multiple sessions.
Sub 20 run put it on the books lol
dr4gonblitz could have done it in 16 hours
chat so fun😅
Are you going to appeal to RetroAchievements about the Hardcore thing? You have video proof you didnt save state.
