This is an excellent video explaining the PWM control IC. Thank you as half of the stuff on here is done with a heavy accent and I can’t figure what they are saying. I’m working on a 2 transformer 2 PWM IC chip SMPS for an older RCA surround sound receiver. It is driving me nuts because I can’t seem to figure out why the ICs are not switching on. This type of board has an On/Standby switch on the front that supposed to start the unit up. To boot they even used 2 different PWM chips lol. That’s how I made it to your video. I miss the old days when everything came with a schematic. Thanks for the video sir.
Great Video, There needs to be more stuff on TH-cam in regards tot he UC3844B IC chip. However,. i have a SMPS power supply from Hyosung that is not putting out outputs. Trying to figure out what is causing this damn thing to Not put out outputs. Tested my chip (UC3845N) and it is not getting any source power. This video gets me closer to figuring out why the chip is not getting any power. Still inconclusive. Any thoughts ?
Pin 2 is the voltage feedback. It's an error amplifier referenced to an internal resistor divider. Getting this voltage close to the reference voltage may turn the error amplifier unstable, causing the clicking of the output.
It's supposed to be fed like an operational amplifier, with an feedback net between the input (pin 2) and output (pin 1). Direct acting on pin 2 may lead to very unstable reactions.
So sorry... I always get side tracked in a different direction with work and family... I will try to film that movie in a day or two... Thank you for setting me on the correct tack. HaHa...

My favorite electronics channel! Thanks. This help me a lot!
hi sir i want say you..i saw your video you was very good at describe this circuit i love you and you are perfect..thankyou
extremely thank. It helps me a lot. Greetings from Vietnam

Obrigado pela aula sobre o UC3843A.
Hello good work with the uc3845, the output current can be adjusted with 3 legs, can we adjust the voltage, can I do 2---30volt current 0--6 amps
This help me a lot! Thanks !!!
thank you very much for this video, it's great your explanation
thanks a lot sir , it was a big help.
Excelente conteúdo/aula, muito obrigado pelas explicações.
nice vid.
but lowering voltage on pin 2 the output start blinking and clicking..any idea what can cause this?

Good video!!
Really well explained thank you
How many volts are we expected to see at pin 6
thank you Mr Donald
sir how to test this IC using multi-meter ? i want to test if this is burnt or not ?
Hai sir
How to choose the duty cycle for this IC uc 3843
hope you can make new video about electronic from A to Z
Good job my friend
very interesting thank you
How to Shutdown the UC3842 ?
Very nice explanation, Sir ... & where is the next video :)
So sorry... I always get side tracked in a different direction with work and family... I will try to film that movie in a day or two... Thank you for setting me on the correct tack. HaHa...
Bang !! Bang !!!! ... Hahahahaha
mükemmel bir anlatım olmuş...
Hi could you do a similar video for a 16 pin MC44603P ic i have ordered one for the sm power supply o am working on. Many thanks
Dear sir there are varraible vcc voltage of 3842b 5 volt to 15 volt
very interesting
Thank you very much
Señor me podria desir si el integrado uc3844 y el 3844cn son los mismos muchas gracias
Looks like your scope is the same model as mine. ☺
nice
good, very good
how testing top 243yn tank you
Tanks
Thanks so much
