Thanks for the update... I bought the Ready Brute Elite 2 after watching your initial videos and doing some outside research... I have put almost 13000 miles on my motorhome towing my jeep and had only a couple minor issues ....The turn buckle bolt broke while driving through Colorado... easy fix....Ace Hardware nearby had the parts needed. Very happy with the tow bar....look forward to your future videos

Thanks for watching and following our channel, Peter. Yes, I love this tow package. Will have a new video out very soon. Updated both tow arms to newer model. The NSA folks have been good to us!. Be safe out there, brother. Peace.

Thanks again, Tod. You've grown a great company from your father's Auto Shop. Love your story, your RV products and, mostly importantly, your incredible staff. Very interested in what's to come. Continued success, my friend! Peace.

Thanks for the videos. I’m researching tow bars and brakes. We’ll be towing a Wrangler behind our class C and we’ll be going through the mountains on the west coast. I’m set to order one up as soon as I know which model Jeep we get so I can get the right baseplate.

I would suggest connecting the brake-away cable at the center rear of the RV. It looks like if you do a tight right hand turn it could get taunt and be pulled out and lock up your tow vehicle brakes. It will also become very loose on a tight left hand turn. Good video, I am considering purchasing this assembly.

You are absolutely right, John. It actually happened as you described and I polished my brake pads pretty good. Wish you had suggested it earlier 😁! We love our NSA towbar and think you might like it, too. Thanks for checking out our channel...we appreciate you. Peace.

I have been having issues with my arms on the Ready Brute locking in. Do you have any suggestions? I almost have to have my Toad perfectly aligned, with the arms locked, to my MH in order for it to properly be towed. Sometimes I would have one of the arms locked and the other not locked. Happens to me every time.

Will the Ready Brake disengage after applying the brake while driving downhill and still in a downhill position?

Thanks for a great video. Can you talk about tensioning the surge brake line? It looks important. (We're just about to buy one and that's my only concern.) Thanks!

Sure thing! The pull cable is adjusted with turnbuckle. When I first installed mine, I had a friend follow me in his truck. I didn't have the brake light cable attached. This way, when I would brake the RV, he could monitor my Jeep brake lights. I would adjust the pull cable until the RV and Jeep brake lights came on simultaneously. I hope this helps, if not, email me at rvunderway@gmail.com, and we will discuss it further. Thanks for watching. Peace!

very nice. i have an older version and have been using it for about 5yrs and love it. i see you have a turn buckle on the brake cable. did it come with the kit or did you add it. if you added it what are the details and where did you get it. Thanks

Fred, our Ready Brute Elite II came with that turnbuckle as part of the package. Just dropped another NSA video where I replace the tow arms with the upgraded models. You might like it. Here's the video link th-cam.com/video/sz4u4vjYBwo/w-d-xo.html

Isn't there supposed to be 2 inchs of play in black\main brake cable? In the video it looks more than 2 inches. I ask because I just recently had to adjust mine. I was inquiring about setting up an additional towed vehicle besides just my Wrangler. When I sent photos of my fairly new bars I was told the tapered legs (like yours) had been upgraded to straight legs - they sent the new ones at no cost. However the new legs with the needed adapter were longer - thus I had to adjust my cable lengths.

You are correct on all points. It took a couple of adjustments to get my black cable tension right. NSA recently sent me the new bars, as well. And yes, they are longer and I also had to readjust the black cable. Here's the video of my new setup th-cam.com/video/sz4u4vjYBwo/w-d-xo.html
      Thanks for watching. Peace.

I don’t think this video is showing the newest model of the Ready Brute Towbar. The original Ready Brute Towbar model was without a doubt the best towbar produced. Now they have redesigned it. My original model Ready Brute towbar wore out after 150,000 miles and the company rebuilt it to the newest model. Fair enough. I made one trip with the new model (June 2024) took it off the motor home and it is now in the scrap iron pile. I purchased a new Blue Ox which is better than the new Ready Brute model but not near as good as the original model. If they still made the original model, I would buy one in a heartbeat.
