I just love that after a 2 hour lecture from my teacher nothing makes sense and then a 12min video and it all fits together. I love our education system
It makes me angry that I pay for a shithead to read off his (super badly made) slides which is a waste of my time, while this video does it for free and in 1/4th the time. Our school system is so outdated, it's unreal.
Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for an exceptional video/lecture on the classical Trapezoidal Rule in Calculus One/Two. The Trapezoidal Rule is an excellent way to approximate Definite Integrals which cannot be Integrated in closed form in Calculus. This is an error free video/lecture on TH-cam TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.
Gaby me but I’m confused if we need to absolute value this if we get a negative cause my teacher said something about absolute value when you find the area under the curve idk if any of y’all know
@@Scrappycoco0917 If you get a negative value it's probably because more of the graph is below the x-axis, in which case I'm pretty sure you need to keep the number negative if it is. Then again, I wouldn't recommend listening to someone random on TH-cam, so ask your teacher or do some research and tell me what you find
Ah we meet again old friend. Clock ticking down on submission time, and here you are, saving my ill understanding rear in a calm, clear and understanding manner
Thank you so much for these short and to the point lectures, Teachers at Uni made me hate this subject( I still do but at least I can solve questions now while understanding what I am doing )
Can anyone explain how he solved the water tank question? The question asked for the amount of water in the FIRST HOUR. But I didn't see any modification he did there
Why do we bother with approximate techniques when we know how to integrate definite intervals? It's nice to know from an historical prospective, I guess, but it's a waste of time and just seems to drag out our Calculus curriculum.
My professor recently told me that you can use trapezoidal/simpsons rule in real life engineering type scenarios where you need to take the approximate volume of an area to figure out how much supplies you’d need or something of that sort. Using definite integrals would be near impossible to find the volume of a mountain but these rules here allow for a close approximation to the exact answer.
Guyz please help me i read the same formula for composite trapezoidal even chat gpt tell me the formula for composite and trapezoidal methods for both same. I am so confused whats the difference between them ?
The last example isn't a really good one personally. It gives you the answer in the question. The question asks for the amount of water accumulated after 1 hour. 60min = 1hr as we all know. In the chart it says that for 60min the rate is 6.2gal/min. So.......6.2*60= 372gal. No need for a trapezoidal rule.

I have spent weeks trying to figure out why I can't understand a single one of these problems until now. The number line totally made it click for me.
Came for the trapezoidal rule, but learned them all haha

Taking AP Calc AB over the summer, this vid saved my grade 🥺 the clarity is real
Hey im taking AP too! But for me it's the whole school year
I graduated as engineer 10 yrs ago and I just learned this today.

Love you. You saved my ass from the midterm 1!!!!
Thank you. Clear and concise
Your the BEST TEACHER EVER!
Dude helped me with my Chem E degree! You aren't too smart to watch his videos, take it from the masta!!!! Thanks TUTOR!
love your tutorials! thank you!
Congratulations. What software do you use for creating your videos? They are very easy to see. Thanks
Thanks for a great and clean explanation
Omg! This is so much easier to understand. Thank you!
Thank you sm, my understanding goes from 0 to 8 real quick. Need more excercises to get another 2😁

My lecturer refuses to teach me the method so I have to find lessons on youtube in order to pass the tests of the course that I pay for.
so we don't actually integrate anything at any point?
Yeah seems like it
Am I the only one who thinks his voice is so romantic+cool? HHAHAAHAAHAH
Thank you! Good practice 😊
What about the 2f(xn-1)?
You help so much!!

I don't understand @ 5:42 why is f(x)=x squared?
That's an example
It's like a question
your voice sounds so great and I only wish you could have your very own studio to record in hq
around 5:50 f of x was x squared why was it 2
Why do we multiply the middle values by 2 though I don’t get it
Why exactly are the middle parts in the trapezoidal rule multiplied by 2 and the outside ones are not? I am not really understanding how that works.
can n be any number?
very helpful!
do you know why integrating discrete acceleration data leads to drift in the extrapolated velocity data?
Why do we bother with approximate techniques when we know how to integrate definite intervals?
It's nice to know from an historical prospective, I guess, but it's a waste of time and just seems to drag out our Calculus curriculum.

I'd gladly use trapezoids over long analytical solutions
In most of the questions I'm solving, n is not given. We assume it is 1. And for Simpson's rule, we assume it is 2. Is there any reason?
JG is from the Mas coz of how he says 40. lmk if im wrong
thank you.
Its liberating video. But using Trigonometric equations?

What’s the difference in solving a problem (ones involving a table) using trapezoidal rule and trapezoidal sum?
Same thing, just different names
Cannot thank you enough
God made some great human beings and this is definitely one of them
why did we take only 5 points in the right/left end point rule? I mean why don't we just take the six points
thanks
I don’t even remember this being mentioned in class

Can we have gaussian quadrate ?
Can someone explain why the first and last values dont get multiplied by 2 I'm a bit confused by that
they're y values
Thankyou!
340 is equal to 333.333 well approximately.😔
Why f(x)=x^2 ? Can someone please tell me?
It was the function given in the example
why x^2 for f(x)

Nice
Isn't that 2? (10-0)/n = 2???
Not 2/2
It's (60-0)/6 =10, then 10/2=5. The formula itself has /2
Is there a way to see how many likes are within 5 seconds of the video loading? I feel like I'm not alone in doing this
Why is n 6 not 7
idk why but the things my lecturer teach is so different from this and not understandable
