this is so great. Watched all of the films in 2 days😍 Read in a article about you where you said you are only using 85mm. Love this. I immediatly ordered a 56mm for my sony apsc and will do my next video with this and a 16mm for some minor parts. Thanks for the inspiration!
Always nice to see a fresh film from you Philip! You’re definitely the biggest inspiration to how I film weddings. Loving your masterclass as well! Thanks a ton!
Another fine example of beautiful cinematography Philip. I REALLY enjoy those shots through glass or reflected surfaces...multi layers of intrigue... nice.
Your work is stunning. Why haven't I found your channel before?! I'm at a crossroads. Testing all different kinds of gear to really connect with my equipment to inspire me while shooting and creating. I've been bouncing between Fuji's crop and medium formats, Sony's A7 cameras, and now the Canon R mirrorless. Fuji has come closest, but I made the mistake of shooting a few frames on my friend's Leica Q the other week and I can't get it out of my head. I love that your kit is minimal and restrained to the Q and the SL with a Voigtlander lens. I know it's not all about gear, but it's totally a personal relationship and your videos are simply inspiring. So elegant and warm.
Hi Stephen Thank You for such a lovely comment. I totally agree with you regarding gear. I moved to Leica a while back now for no other reason than it was different to 99% of eveything else out there. My love for using Leica for the films though is based around it's imperfections. I mention this a lot in my online course but by stripping back to a camera that has no PP's, flip screen, stabilisation, low light etc etc just lets me think about composition and natural light and get better at using these ingredients. Everyone clambers for the latest tiny gimbal or newest camera release because of it's features. The problem is that everyone then has the same looking films. It doesn't make you a better film maker. You're simply playing catch up with everyone else! Anyway, glad you loved the film and thanks again. Philip
@@philipwhiteio I've finally caught myself and stopped falling into the spec sheet wars. I want gear that I love using. Practice constraint, and just work with what is available. I currently have Fujifilm GFX system that I'm in love with, but it's not something that I would use all the time. But it is definitely a differentiator in terms of image rendering. I want to get rid of all my Sony gear as it's so sterile and boring to use - the tech make things so easy which is great, but I find myself just overshooting and not really inspired when I'm using the system. Anyways. I'm looking forward to going through the rest of your portfolio - it's so inspiring. Thank you.
Hello Philip. First of all, you deserve more subscribers...but then you have a lot more than me! I am shortly going to be ordering your Masterclass (when my next client pays up) but can I just ask at this stage whether you shoot 4k or 1080? There may be some indication in one of your posts but rather than trawl through all the comments... (though I have watched all the vids!). Thanks in advance. Simon.
Hey man, thanks! I look forward to seeing you on the inside. I always shoot 1080. I have an option to upgrade to 4K and I'll occasionally use it maybe during a ceremony if I feel it would be worth punching in later on during the edit. Say for example if I shot a ceremony from the back of a church.Hope this helps mate!!
@@philipwhiteio That's good to know as I have been somewhat indecisive lately over 4k, Flog (Fuji shooter), HLG or even going back to 1080. I think I'll stick with 4k for my DJI 'products' but next wedding, use 1080 again as my principal. Inspiring work Philip, hat's off to you and I look forward to finding out some more from 'the inside' as soon as possible! Cheers.

Epic work 👌🏼
Elevation Media thank you!!!
Great work! Always amazed by your videos! Do you use manual white balance or just auto?
Hey man! I always use auto!!

Master White, is recorded to a single camera and a single lens ?, and how many minutes lasts its longest wedding video
.
Hey! Yes, all the video clips are recorded with just one camera and one lens. The longer film is 25 minutes :)
@@philipwhiteio
Okay, thanks for answering my question, very inspiring work
but every minute counts....
Were you going to get a crayon on your car
?
Too much noise for my eyes. Great composition but this high iso is killing it all.
dude, he is philip white...
I love it. It's like a film grain
