We will learn to use the IPA symbols to read the sounds of English and understand exactly how to pronounce the VERY COMMON LONG vowels! English pronunciation can be difficult because English is not a phonetically written language. What does that mean? It means that you can't know how a word sounds just by reading the word, you must learn each and every word's pronunciation by memory. An easy way to know how a word sounds is to use IPA - The International Phonetic Alphabet which will give you the tools you need to perfect your pronunciation in English!
