This album is a miracle! Never has Eric produced more entertaining, deep, shallow, funny, serious, majestic, light, thoughtful, classic, modern, ..., music on one album! Once the CD was stolen from me, and as it is almost impossible to get is anywhere, nevertheless I found the album in a shop where I didn't even want to go. It had to be this way.
thats for sharing. Met Alan 10 yrs ago. This is a rare album, and hearing it for the first time, here. Will buy it as soon as I can fin it. The guitar lick at 2:33 (I am a mirror) is incredible!
I always liked TAPP when I would hear them on the radio, but I never heard an album of theirs until about !986. I went right out and bought all of their albums right away, and I´ve been a die-hard fan of theirs ever since. They never made a bad album. Alan Parsons' albums alone were great, but I missed Eric. It´s great to hear this last APP album.
One of the best albums I have ever heard and owned - easy to get a copy on eBay mostly from sellers in Belarus. Sad news - Eric Woolfson succumbed to cancer 12/2 at the age of 64. Eric thank you for this great work and all of your great works with APP and on your own.
Yes Paco Eric founded the project he was alan parsons manager after meeting in the canteen at abbey road summer of 1974 and it was Eric who conceived the Poe album tales of mystery Eric quite often is not given the credit he is due during his project years he was a very good writer and musician to.
the thing is that i like mostly "catchy" or "easy to remember" and "sing" kind of songs!...and thank God Parsons has tons of songs like that throughout his career!...i even like some songs from his solo albums - Turn It Up (i must say i was very impressed with that beast of the song!...), instrumental tune called "breakaway" and Wine From The Water! ...and from the On Air album i liked - Too Close To The Sun and Blown By The Wind songs!...
Quote from the APP website ( FAQ) : " Eric Woolfson was the main songwriter and lyricist for the APP writing 95% of the music and 100% of the lyrics. He also sang lead vocal on many of the APP’s greatest hits including ‘Eye in the Sky’, ‘Time’ and ‘Don’t Answer Me’. He played keyboards on practically every APP track recorded. He was also the manager of the APP and handled all the business side. It was his decision to call it ‘The Alan Parsons Project’ - a choice he often described as both the best and worst in his career. The best because he got to enjoy the success of his work without any of the fame. The worst in that generally no one outside the music industry had a clue who he was! "
I once sat in front of a mirror in a mock dungeon built by one of Anne Rice's close friends at an LA artist colony where I lived for four months in 1994. My reflection at one point smiled, got up and left, and did not return. I stared at a blank mirror for several minutes, before I followed suit.
here's all of my favorite both TAPP and AP (solo career) songs!: 1.A Dream Within A Dream (instrumental) 2.I Robot (instrumental) 3.I Wouldn't Want To Be Like You 4.Some Other Time 5.Eagle Will Rise Again 6.Day After Day (Show Must Go On) 7.Genesis Ch1 V 32 8.What Goes Up 9.The Eagle Will Rise Again 10.Shadow Of A Lonely Man 11.Lucifer (instrumental) 12.You Lie Down With Dogs 13.Winding Me Up 14.Damned If I Do 15.May Be A Price To Pay 16.Games People Play 17.I Don't Wanna Go Home end of part1..

alan parsons y e.Woolfson, ya pertenecen a la historia de la música pop-clasica para siempre. Este pertenece al albúm FREUDIANA, de ALAN PARSONS,que pone los pelos de punta. Simplemente geniales....
There are two different versions of Freudiana. The White Album (because of the white cover) and The Black Album (Freudiana Deutsche Originalaufnahme). This one was released inGermany in 1991 by EMI Electrola, with a different structure from the songs on the White Album, and it is sung in German. This album was never released, it could only be purchased at the theater in which the music was represented.
part 3: 37.Stereotomy (Part 1) 38.Limelight 39.In The Real World 40.Stereotomy (Part 2) 41.Days Are Numbers 42.The Same Old Sun 43.La Sagrada Familia 44.Too Late 45.Standing On A Higher Ground 46.Money Talks 47.Freudiana 48.I'm A Mirror (well obviously...hehe) 49.Upper Me Alan Parsons solo: 1.Turn It Up 2.Wine From The Water 3.Breakaway 4.Too Close To The Sun 5.Blow By The Wind 6.Cloudbreak ...and thats it!
@mcpacoyago Well - Eric may have it on another album, but it is definitely part of this album - listening to the words - must be intended as part of Freudiana. What does it matter though - a great song sung and performed well.
Strange that you don't like Freudiana. It contains some wonderful songs like this one, Freudiana and Freudiana instrumental, There but for the Grace of God, Upper Me, Don't Let the Moment Pass... I'm glad that you like this at least :-)
part 2: 18.The Gold Bug 19.The Turn Of A Friendly Card (Part1) 20.Snake Eyes 21.The Ace Of Swords 22.Nothing Left To Lose 23.The Turn Of A Friendly Card (Part2) 24.Sirius (Eye In The Sky intro...) 25.Eye In The Sky 26.Children Of The Moon 27.Silence And I 28.Psychobabble 29.Mammagamma (instrumental) 30.Old And Wise 31.Prime Time 32.Don't Answer Me 33.Dancing On A Highwire 34.You Don't Believe (one of my most favorite TAPP songs ever!...) 35.Pipeline (instrumental) 36.Amonia Avenue end of part2..
Freudiana wasn't Parsons, it was done by Woolfson after he went off to do his own stuff. the last project [meaning both Wolfson and Parsons] was Guadi.
Freduiana is not an APP album because bands aren't credited for musicals, individual writers are. So while APP technically made this album you won't find the band name on the cover, just Eric's.
Wonderful! But please, HELP me!! I NEED to find the GERMAN version of this song. Do you have an idea where I can find it? Of course you know that show in Vienna years ago. Well, thanks again :)
Hi, excellente song. But I'm confussed. Is not this song from the first Eric Woolfson's Album, not AlanParsonProject? Freudiana would be last APP album, but finally would not. It was the first Eric's album. Eric founded APP. Am I right?
well to me only Freudiana song (not instrumental), Upper Me and I'm a mirror are good, others songs dunno...i didn't get into it!...my most favorite APP album is Turn Of A Friendly Card (1980 i believe...), i like every single song of that hell of an album, except for the song "time", i didn't really like that song...
This is the best album for me probably too and when I was young didn´t like much "time" but now I love.I think when the years passing by you learn to appreciatte this kind of songs like since the last goodbye,a shadow of a lonely man, don´t let it show, etc. Now most of this are the best songs I ever heard

Everything is beautiful in this song: music, lyrics, vocal
The lyrics, melody, rhythm and Leo's voice.... just perfection. Pure genius itself!!!
Suppose I were to tell you that the meaning of dreams
Is not all that it seems
And the ultimate truth is a lie
And you are just a puppet who can dance on a string
Do you feel anything
Would you laugh would you care would you cry
But the meaning of life is a mystery
How can anyone disagree
And the music of life is a symphony
Which we play in a minor key
I am a mirror, I am a mirror, looking at me you see yourself
I am a mirror, I am a mirror, every face is someone else
Look at me smile and you're the clown
And if I dance you turn around
Look in my eyes and see your tears
Until the music disappears
So if you are confused and don't know which way to go
You will certainly know
From the moment we're living we die
And if it's all a crazy game you don't want to play
Tell me what you can say
It's a joke, it's the truth, it's a lie
But the meaning of life is a mystery
That we don't understand so far
And the music of life is a rhapsody
If you're happy the way that you are
I am a mirror, I am a mirror, looking at me you see yourself
I am a mirror, I am a mirror, every face is someone else
Look at me smile and you're the clown
And if I dance you turn around
Look in my eyes and see your tears
Until the music disappears
And the meaning of life is a mystery
Though we live it from day to day
But the music of live should be harmony
So that anyone here can play
I am a mirror, I am a mirror, looking at me you see yourself
I am a mirror, I am a mirror, every face is someone else
Look at me smile and you're the clown
And if I dance you turn around
Look in my eyes and see your tears
Until the music disappears
Thanks!
