Mark Jindrak portrayed something similar to Lex’s Narcissist gimmick.
In the independent circuit, a guy named Paul Lee is doing a “Nature Boy” gimmick, similar to Ric Flair. (SIDE NOTE: Although this gimmick is widely hated, he’s doing a fine job at carrying the Nature Boy gimmick.)
In 2015, Daniel Richards, a political leftist since 2011, debuted the “Progressive Liberal” gimmick and began billing himself as such in 2016, after Donald Trump became president, which emboldened conservative fans, and thus, he was a heel in conservative areas in the US and a face in liberal areas (like California); a concept that is awfully similar to Bret Hart’s 1997 run, when he was a heel in America and a face in his home country of Canada.
Around the same time as when Daniel became the Progressive Liberal, Sam Adonis, the real-life brother of Corey Graves, pitched an idea to CMLL’s higher-ups, in which he would portray a pro-Trump character and play off Trump’s stance on Mexico and immigrants; this gimmick is still in use to this day. In other words, Sam’s character is a stark opposite of Daniel’s character.

I really don't understand why Max is so upset about Valhalla. If she herself can't tell the difference between Vikings and thunderdome/fallout raiders, and can't understand that they are 2 COMPLETELY different gimmicks, then she'll probably never be able to be convinced otherwise. The only similarity I see isnthe color scheme (sorta).
Also, Sami and R-Truth never had the same gimmick...they just happened to play similar roles in different specific storylines. And they both happen to be funny. Thats like saying the Bushwhackers and the New Day have the same gimmick just cuz (at one point at least) they were both comedy acts (at least at one point for New Day) lol

If WWE had wanted to get Kevin Thorne over in the vampire gimmick, they could have tried running a story line involving bringing Gangrel back for a limited time, to feud with Thorne as a babyface who won't get over in that role, who eventually gets turned into a vampire as the payoff to the feud, and Gangrel acts as his manager figure to help get Thorne over in the role. This way the fans get a bit more Gangrel, and he can help introduce the gimmick in a way that can help get the character over with the fans through the intentional association with another loved and still active vampire character.

There is nothing original about knight. He took the low road and repackaged himself as a Steve Austin, Rock hybrid which was clear the moment he debuted this character.
"Well, everyone copies from someone" or "Nothing is really original."
I hate these excuses. There is a big difference between someone taking inspiration from someone or something and innovating it to something all their own and someone who simply repackages an image or idea with little more than a pallete swap.
What bothers me most about la knight is he already had the likable character of Eli Drake but decided to, or was pressured into assuming this new character.

To be fair, Lex Luger's Narcissist gimmick was suddenly and prematurely dropped when Vince decided that Luger would be the perfect Hulk Hogan clone. Luger was starting to get his heel gimmick over because it was kind of an extension of his own personality, but because it was dropped so quickly in favor of making him a top patriotic babyface and the fact that the Narcissist never got a true major televised big name angle, the gimmick is looked at as a failure by modern fans when it was simply a potentially successful formula for it's performer that was dropped too soon because the boss wanted a quick fix to Hogan's permanent departure.

Kairi Sane's pirate gimmick was essentially Redd ("We wants the redhead!" to quote the POTC ride's classic auction scene) meets Elisabeth Swan, whereas Paul Burchill is a wannabe Jack Sparrow (except Mr. McMahon just didn't get it at the time [despite the fact that "Curse of the Black Pearl" had just released in movie theaters], because he was still of the belief that pirates were thieving baddies [the officially historical depiction of them as "pillaging, plundering, rifling & looting" marauders for-hire and the gimmick that PCO played during the waning New Generation Era during his feud with Bret "Hitman" Hart under the name of Jean Pierre Lafitte], rather than the romanticized take on seen in Disney's POTC film franchise headlined by Johnny Depp as the swashbuckling Captain Jack Sparrow).

The Gangstas and Cryme Time were NOT similar, At ALL. ECWs The Gangstas were literally characters from a 90's NWA or ICE cube video and the Rodney King Beatings . Cryme Time was Satire like Chappelle Show and they just took the Piss out of White Wrestling institutions. Everything they did was very Tongue in Cheeks. Not similar at all

Max should be hired by WWE to join the Viking Raiders to give Sarah Logan a Female Tag Partner who fits their gimmick and go for th Women's Tag Titles. Kevin Thorn should bring back his vampire gimmick too as we don't have a vampire supernatural power since The Brood and Kevin's vampire and Vampires gimmick stopped. Plus the Vampires all had GREAT ICONIC Entrances! That have not been in games WWE games for a long time. They should be main stay entrances that are always there to be used at based game as presets.

Yeah Rock borrowed a lot of stuff from other wrestlers. He got jabroni from Iron Shiek, when he says "jabroni beating, pie eating". It's supposed to mimic the way Ric Flair says "jet flying, limousine riding". Rock also said he got The People's Elbow from Dusty Rhodes too etc.

You forgot to include Mark Jindrak's "Reflection of Perfection" gimmick when comparing "The Narcissist" Lex Luger & "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters, since Mark Jindrak, quite literally, aped Lex Luger's self-loving persona, whereas Chris Masters is basically the marble statute of David come to life.
