- The German car manufacturer is allegedly planning to return the soft-top (or Cabriolet) variant of the New Volkswagen Beetle, in addition to the hard-top (hard roof) model. The 2025 Beetle Cabriolet retains the coupé charm that made it famous by mimicking the open and closed shape of the legendary original Beetle Cabriolet. The soft top is a distinguishing feature of the two types of car. Raising the top takes drivers back in time when, despite modern amenities, every car had a top made of fabric. Considering how influential the Beetle and New Beetle were on Volkswagen's design philosophy, it's remarkable that all the visual elements of these vehicles have survived. A more aggressive front fascia with LED daytime running lights and integrated headlights is on the agenda for the 2025 Beetle. The front bumper takes a similarly muscular approach, with fog lights mounted on either side of the A-shaped lower grille. Horizontal slats running the length of the car give it a wider appearance and slim. The design is based on Volkswagen's ideas. The straight edges of the bonnet, the air intakes at the front, the horizontal rear bumper, a set of rear-facing taillights and the perfectly straight line connecting the soft top to the A-pillars all speak to this. The 2025 Beetle Cabriolet may cost between $30,000 to $40,000, according to rumors. Furthermore, its debut is expected to occur in the second half of 2025. We expect both electric and petrol motors to be available for the 2025 Beetle Cabriolet, while formal details regarding engine options are not yet available. We anticipate a turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine driving an electric drivetrain, which may or may not include a battery-operated motor.
