i tried both methods with no luck , but I deleted my network settings , put them back in , worked perfect after that , hope it helps anyone whos still struggling to get it fixed
What do you mean by the settings? I deleted network and added it back but that didn't work

@@tonyapool1117 I just deleted my network from saved networks , scanned again for it , put internet code back in , that fixed it

@@oladapovictor1533 so I followed all steps in video , still getting error message , I went to network , deleted my connected network from list , searched again for network, found mine in list , put my internet code back in for it to work , that fixed it for me

I have Gen 2 on OS 5 and Downlader 1.4.3. What’s diff is when I open Downloader for the first time, it doesn’t ask me to allow permission. Just goes to the main screen. Also, my Developer Option - Apps from Unknown screen doesn’t list any apps. I’m just able to turn that option on or off. So I turn it on. When I put in your info on the Downloader screen, everything works. But it doesn’t for the other. I still get the error message. I’ve even did the restart and factory reset several times. That one gives me the error message. Is it a problem with the link that I’m keying in if yours is working?
Yes it is. It's how they shorten the links. Ask if they can give you a different link. Is there something you are looking for?

Jason wanted to mention in developer options I don't have install unknown apps, not sure why not?
Go to My Fire TV
Hit About
Then press the OK button about 7 times
then go back and you should have the developers options.

When you went into My Fire TV, then click developer options. The next was not an option for me to select. It only show ADB debugging or Apps from Unknown Sources. What do i do now?

- then hit the return button and now you should see the developer options.

You will have to do a factory reset. Keep in mind you will lose any 3rd party app.

Is there a fix for downloader on 2nd gen Fire sticks? Mine won't bring up the pop up box to allow downloader to access files. This is frustrating.
Did you check to see if your sticks firmware is up to date?

If both option didn't work for you. I hate to say it, but the only thing I can think of is a factory reset.

The only other option is to factory reset your firestick. Then you will have to reinstall all your apps.

If this doesn't work, you might have to factory reset your fire stick. But make sure your fire stick is running on the latest version.

If those steps didn't work, the only thing left is to factory reset your box.

No there's no, on & off. If your firestick is up to date on firmware. I would factory reset your firestick and start fresh.

That's something to do with the URL you are entering not downloader.
@@JasonTech I went with the people that own the apk that I was trying to download and they gave me a numeric code to put on the downloader and that solved the issue . Thanks

Hi Joan, It's the same. Go to setting then apps and look for downloader.
Click on it and then you will see clear data.

It still might be the link. If you have a VPN, make sure it's on and try it again.

Yes, all 3rd party apps. The only other thing you can try is. Check to see if your fire stick is up to date.

Hi. That's a server problem, unplug the box wait a bit and plug it back in. Make sure you unplug it from the wall.
