    I am not blind myself, I am playing a blind character in a College Drama performance, this was very helpful for learning how to move and walk properly. It is great that you don't let sight impair you and I want to thank you for the video :)

    God bless you buddy. God bless your friends for doing this video highlighting blindness. Also! Thank you for your confidence. You are a very strong person who, I believe via this video will relay so much of your confidence to the blind who may perhaps not be feeling the same. I am not blind. I loved this video Xx

    This is absolutely incredible. To navigate without sight. To me it's like some hidden superpower, or magic...
    Cause, normally when you know where you are going, you sort of have a layout of your surroundings in your head. Like a 3D map of sorts. You know where you are, you know where you wanna go, you know the rough distance of it and never bother with very exact details. Stuff like type of ground, or objects around you...
    I mean, I'm pretty sure if I started out, eyes closed, in my parents living room and had to navigate to the bathroom, I'd still bump in to things. I can make that journey in total darkness from my old bedroom to the bathroom, but anything more than that is just impossible! And that's a journey of about 10 meters... And I lived in that house for 18 years, before I went to university.
    I have no idea how I would get to the nearest store, without eyesight. I have incredible respect for the people that have lost their sight and still manage to live a life! I don't think I would be able to do that.

    He does not walk like my blind roommate, he’s familiar with area so he barely would use it and that dude moves the stick like 2 or 3 times faster.

    How to cross the road you don't know if there is a car or not ?

    • @VelvetTears216
      @VelvetTears216 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Blind people go through extensive O&M training in order to ensure their safety when crossing roads. There are many techniques used, but at the end of the day it is still dangerous. Most of the time someone will ask us if we need assistance, and in that case we can simply cross safely with a sighted guide.

      Supreme Doctrine Personally I'm not religious myself. I think it's because when I was a kid I was sent to a Church of England school and it felt like religion was forced upon people there. I believe people should believe in what they chose and respect others with different beliefs. We are all human beings and we should all be able to get along. Have a nice day my friend

      Supreme Doctrine I just don't want to be part of a religion. I just find it divides too many people as there are some people who believe that they are superior to others because of their religion. I prefer to believe in people and what we can achieve when we all come together and respect each other

      if someone is an experienced traveler they can travel easier than a newly blind or visually impaired person, doesn't mean they don't have accidents, or something. :o
