Noone won all 3 awards in 1 year.There are legendary midfielders but once Modric retire he will be remembered as best and most succesful midfielder in history.

Without a doubt there’s no debate about this he is the best of his generation that’s not even questionable. He’s on the same level as Zidane in my opinion. Zidane was better but Modric is on that level and that’s not a disrespect to Modric because Zidane is better than any midfielder in history in my opinion

I remember watching Modric during his Tottenham days and thought this player is going to be world class. He was the only player to do trivela passes regularly in the Premier League and always looked to pass the ball forward rather than back to the defenders.

Without Modric there would be no La Decima for Real Madrid and the history that came after that. Modric is a phylosopher player that healed the midfield and saved Real Madrid. Modric for Real Madrid was even more important than Cristiano Ronaldo.
Agree with that. In Real Luka won without him while Ronaldo is not without Modrić. Ronaldo is in Madrid from 2009 and he could not win Champions League until Luka came in Madrid in 2012. When Modrić fully adapted and his game started influenced team in his second season they won it, in season 13/14. They lost from Juventus in semi final in season 14/15 Modrić was injured and didnt play that game. Then they won together three in a row. Later Ronaldo is move to Juventus and Man Utd and didnt won in any of these clubs and probably never will. Luka Modrić again won one this season without Ronaldo. Proof he has more impact on the team and its final overall performance.

@@beckham-mostoverratedplaye4770 The issue is that for plenty the number of assists and goals are the way to decide the best player, and meanwhile yes, this sport is about scoring, i do believe that for best player it should be more than that, skills, weight on their teams and outstanding perfornances... There are goalkeepers and defenders that could have won the title if we did choose the best footballer itself. For me is kinda like if the Oscar goes to the actor who sell more tickets and their movies make most profit instead of the actual outstanding performances.

Personally I think that Real Madrid chose to buy him after his Dominant match against Spain in euro 2012 where he absolutley dominated the play/the midfield against a Spain who were in their prime. A game where Xavi, Iniesta and so on played in their absolute prime but this guy here dominated the shit out of them. Even spaniards said after the euros that it wouldve been better if they played against Croatia in the final because it definately was the toughest game for them @ euros 2012.

There were a ton of great midfielders born in Modric's generation playing at big Premier league clubs. Alonso and Gerrard at Liverpool, Essien at Chelsea, Carrick at United, Carzola and Arteta at Arsenal, Toure and Silva at City, Fabregas at Arsenal and Chelsea. Who would have thought the midfielder who ended up with the best legacy by far was the one playing at Spurs.

That midfield and attack for Spurs of Modric, Van Der Vaart and Parker, with Bale and Defoe was such a good combination. Sadly, Lennon was was a dangerous players but lacked end product a lot of the time. So glad he didn't go to Chelsea. He was too good for Chelsea and wouldn't of become the player he did at Madrid.
