I wish all the haters who look down on our love for "a boy band" could see BTS like this. Cause they only know them very shallowly from songs like Butter or Dynamite which are super sweet and poppy. The boys have always been savage, and they are showing even more of their individual colors now, and we are all here for the ride. They are at that point in their career when they don't need to care about anyone else's expectations of how the should be but their own. When they are back together after their military service in 2025, it'll be absolutely insane. 💜💜💜
Yeah they're a great group in general, I don't understand the hate either. 🤷♂

Sadly, that's their LAST EVER performance of Cypher 3: Killer. They've retired it. Here they've altered the lyrics in a brilliant way. As a way to incorporate their more current realities into the cyhpher.
I don't understand Korean so I had to read the explanation of it on Twitter. Sadly also, the anger they felt years ago as reflected in the old cypher still applies today. Prejudice. Stereotypes. Hate. Othering. Erasure.
Their best performance of this is during one of their cypher medley during their WINGS TOUR in 2017, their South Korean leg of the tour, where they were all wearing white.
This is hip hop. Not pop. K. Or otherwise.

Bts originally was formed to be a hiphop group and then they put versatility as their goal they do everything the one album can have EDM , rap , hiphop , ballad , r&b etc

I am just now seeing your reaction, and I loved it! As a Silver ARMY (I'm 53), I love to see their music appreciated. BTS songs always have meaning, whether it's the vocal line or the rap line. If you haven't already, you may like Jimin, Taeyoung (V) and Jungkook's solo music coming that just came out. I hit your buttons, liked the video and subscribing too 💜

At the same time, I want to defend the "boy band" idea. There is nothing wrong with teen-age girls and young women showing their passion for a bunch of hot guys with talent and charisma in their own way. Grown men are allowed to spend every weekend of their freakin' lives until the day they die staring at hot, young, talented men running around a playing field in revealing, shiny, matching outfits. And nobody questions it. But when girls and young women do the EXACT same thing for their favorite musicians? Everyone trashes them. Even older women get offended when anyone even whispers "screaming teen girls" and "BTS" in the same sentence. It's the most normal reaction one can imagine. So who cares? Why the disdain?
The truth that nobody will accept is that without those screaming teen girls who discovered and supported BTS since the very beginning, none of us would know who they are. So let's all stop trashing them.
Sincerely, a former screaming teen who is a lot older and not ashamed of her life-long passion for boy bands 🥰

BTS live are the best, but, for new reactors I would say always watch their m/v or a lyric video for each track so you can hear the original album version and see what they are saying. There are also explanation videos on the DKDKTV channel for some of their tracks which helps you understand the Korean references and wordplay.
For example, for the track UGH! you should watch a lyric video (no m/v) and then the explanation. It makes you love the track even more once you understand it better. Good luck!💜

Will do, I try to find as many lyric videos as I can cause personally I like to know what artists are saying as well, it just makes the song much more enjoyable.
Yeah sometimes the big effects and dance moves just take you out of the music, but in a good way though

My first suggestion to you is to start with a guide. The one I suggest is by a content creator by the name of XCELESTE. She has several videos that may help you get to know the guys, than start on their music from the very beginning and work up. There is also a lot of content BTS has created outside of their music as a gift to fans. From a variety show called "Run BTS" (like their song) to vacations and others...but start with one or two guides first...it will help...

Hi! Thanks for the reaction. Can you react to BTS Butter and then their Grammy performance of it? It’s so cool how they did it. Also in terms of non BTS: Dimash, Pentatonix, BTBT by B.I. (The dance version has souja boy featured on it), Anti-fragile by LE SSERAFIM, NXDE by G(I)-DLE. Some of these are K-pop. Some are not.
