Even though Jimin had the shortest training and still debuted as a lead vocalist without any vocal training. Jimin's voice is unique, special and versatile. He can sing any way you want it. Therefore, he is usually the first to be noticed by reactors so he minds as well be considered as the main vocalist along with JK just as he is a main dancer along with JHope.

For a group to stay together with all members under the same company is very rare. though there have been a few of the original wave of kpop groups reforming after more than a decade apart like s.e.s and shinwa

BTS are highly talented with over 300 songs there is something for everyone: rap, hip hop, pop, r&b, rock, retro funk, edm.... and so on. And they write and produce a lot of their own music. You really wont find that with other groups.

When you listen to them without prejudice, the chances of liking their music is 100%.
The thing is, their music doesn't sound the same, neither their voices when they sing/rap. And you'd say "well ofc their voices won't sound the same" and let me tell you, I've heard other groups and they do.
Like all humans do, we tend to criticize or dislike something - in this case music - just because they don't speak the same language like us, or bc they are a group and you may think they are overrated.
But when we decide to not be "scared" of those things, we discover what we've been missing, which is how incredible BTS is as artists and how beautiful their personality is.

This is a great first taste of BTS. There’s a reason this #1 group, not just kpop bg , in the world. There is no close second. There’s a reason they are compared to the Beatles & Michael Jackson ( even MJ’s family are hardcore fans!)

BTS is built different, ppl gotta stop sleeping on 'em (i was the first one to do so, because you know kpop and boybands I thought that was not for me)..
There are a few other groups who had my attention for 2 or 3 songs but BTS' discography is really the strongest. The love, the respect they have for hip hop and their rap abilities to me they are the deepest and unparalleled in kpop.
They have a joint coming out with Pharell soon I can't wait for that to drop!
And they are a group but there's no weak link, their solo works are so good like Agust D's 'Agust D' or J-HOPE's 'Arson' or their cyphers it's just straight amazing hip hop.
And on top of all that they are just great human beings in this industry for the right reasons, writing and producing most their own stuff (not a given in kpop).
So yeah! BTS is the way😂 we gonna put you on!

I just found them in the last year and they are amazing. Dancing, singing, video, 4 singers/3 rappers, all of it. My favorite pure singing is Fix You that they did sitting in stools. This is my favorite dance I’ve seen so far. I like that they do multiple videos for one song. Like for Butter, they did a music video, a dance special performance, a hitter remix, a cooler remix, a b-side. And a dance performance to the Meghan thee Stallion verse version of Butter. It’s a lot of fun

Don't worry, ARMY will not hate you for not having seen BTS before. Every one starts somewhere. and ARMY just want people to give BTS a chance, put aside any prejudice and simply ... listen, watch and learn!
Westerners think that Kpop is a genre of music : it's not, it simply means Korean idol music (or Korean pop music). Kpop has a reputation for being very poppy, very mundane lyric about young love etc, pretty bubblegum, but not all bands are like that - particularly now, some of the bands are quite dark, even if the lyrics don;e say a lot. I, as an ARMY, am a little uncomfortable calling BTS Kpop, and I think I am not alone in that.
BTS do NOT fit within that reputation. They've been around for 9 years, but together in training before that. They are all involved in writing and producing the music: they are in charge of the subject matter - and that includes many subjects which are ... disapproved of in Korea, so they challenge many norms. Their lyrics are invariably deep and sometimes very moving. They use many cultural references and wordplay - using English and Korean working off of each other to add further meaning and depth.
This song is remembering what it was like for them as trainees and even after debut, working in a small leaky studio, getting a call after school to come back to the studio and work, not wanting to be sent home to their families (who they none the less missed), working until they dropped and going back to the one bedroom they shared to sleep - or, in the case of RM and Suga, to write music until the morning, then start again.
They are often asked, and ask themselves, why did they succeed when so many failed - this is one attempt to answer the question - hard work - their own legs were their only gasoline. Even though this is a partial answer, it's not the answer, because BTS also say, other groups work just as hard, everyone works hard.
During this practice, they are not singing. When they perform live they sing and dance (yes, they dance like that). Their concerts have no support act - just VTS for 2 or 3 hours. This practice was part of the prep for their Yet to Come, in the City concert held last month in Busan. They opened with Mic Drop (huuuuuuuuuge) and Run BTS. Unbelievable show. You should be able to see it on TH-cam.

The first thing I noticed with them is that their spacing between the 7 of them is always impeccable. They step in and out of the middle of a triangle so that the person singing is in the middle and up front. Then that person will slide over and the next singer steps in. It is very smooth the way they do that. It’s so casual yet flawless

BTS isn't only a talented boy band, there's more to them and why they're this big. They've changed lives of many even youtube reactors. There is so much to them. "A Guide to BTS the 7 member boy group" would be a good video to start from to get to know about the boys individually. Introduction to BTS by xceleste is great too but this talks about them as a group. Nobodies to legends by xceleste there are 2 versions and both versions are informative too. I hope you don't mind what other people think about BTS and continue with your BTS journey because those people think BTS is another boyband with screaming teenage girls when its not.
