I like how you just get down in the soul with your hands. You’re so grounded. But it’s something I couldn’t do. I don’t want to put my hands in the dirt. It gets all under my fingernails.
Im used to working in gardens/with soil from early years, so it doesnt bother me too much. Just a good scrub afterwards and no worries :)
Before you start potting, drag your nails across a bar of soap and let the soa0 get under your nails before the dirt does. Or wear latex gloves when you pot.

It’s ok, as far as I understand it, just the smell of soil is what activates all those happy brain chemicals! You don’t have to touch it if you don’t want to.

Welcome back!! Very excited to watch your wedding and honeymoon videos 🍓💞 I have a similar Hoya, its solid yellow with thin red margin, very slow grower for sure. And also have a stapelia, has been a fast grower for me and has flowered a few times, it seems to only like water every 3 or 4 weeks. Its potted in a medusa pot that you painted for me 😉 So happy your back and am looking forward to watching more of your videos 🤗🤗

ACKKKK!!!! Two of my wish list plants!!! LUCKY!! They are stunners too!! Isn't it so wild that the Hoya could grow that well in that plug? I have a hoya that I took cuttings from and put it in sphagnum moss(instead of soil) to grow some roots and she went crazy with growth! I used no nutrients, nothing but moss and water. I have recently switched her to lechuzpon and NO new growth 😑 She's heading back into sphag!

Welcome back! The hoya was actually planted in coco husk ( not cork, not coco shell), almost impossible to remove without damaging the roots.
I guess it will have to live in it forever 🤔🌿
