Yeah. Jimmy assaulted Anya and she wound up pregnant. She is the only person that doesn't get a guilt segment, he didn't care what he did to her, just that he'd go to jail when he got back for it. That, and knowing he'd have to care for the kid when he's just gotten fired led him to crash the ship. Curly was complacent, wanting to please everyone and failing to protect Anya. Jimmy kept going on abt taking responsebility but failed at every turn to do so. Blaming everyone but himself, trying to present himself as a hero. Swansea was saving the pod for Daisuke knowing Jimmy would probably start a bloodbath if he found out, which- well he did. It's implied that's what Swansea and Anya were talking about in the cockpit. That and her telling him what Jimmy had done to her. People have also been speculating Jimmy had given an isopropyl cocktail to Anya to assault her, seeing as there was so little of it on the ship and Jimmy seemed to know how to make it.
Swansea killing Daisuke was an act of mercy, so he wouldn't end up like Curly, who even if he was found, wouldn't really have a life after everything. They were also out of medications, bandages- everything.

want it worse? its probable that the main reason Jimmy assaulted Anya in the first place is because he wanted to ruin Curly, you can se him putting a lot of emphasis on what would happen to *Curly* if everything got found out, he just saw Anya as a tool to achieve his already fucked up goal. We don't hate Jimmy enough.

Pony Express itself is a pretty f'ed up company that was around long enough in business that it created millions of ways to dock the pay of its workers. Remember in the beginning of the game when the entire crew gets a pay decrease for failure of nav. staff? Imagine the pay cut they all would receive if this comes up... And it will because Anya most likely would've given birth on the ship... and that money that the crew absolutely cannot afford to lose because they were being fired? Curly was bombshelled, it's either let crew get a lot less money and all of them connected to the controversy that would only reinforce companies view on moving towards automatization (c'mon, this is the perfect chance for some big conglomerate to make public opinion match thier own, of course it would be publicized) which will makes it nigh impossible to find another job for not only Curly but the rest of the crew due to them being connected, or destabilize the crew dynamics even further. Also i do belive Curly knew if he started to make drastic measures like moving Anya to medical Jimmy would only crash ship even sooner and not even give him the heads up. Also it's his best friend (who might've been manipulating him and gaslighting him and shifting the blame long before this situation) so there's that. I'm not saying that his lack of action is forgivable, but when push came to shove Curls ran into that cockpit to to try and fix his friend mistake and try to save the crew
@@missmarshmallow5775Curly is the definition of being too kind. Consequences have to come at some point and he didn’t take responsibility as captain to do it. Then he never had the chance to change the outcome after that.

I dumb lucked mine! I didn't even understand there was a puzzle. Never saw a vomit. I think he's like one click from being fixed and most people just over complicate it.

Brute smarts
For context it is implied that Jim is an exconvict and Curly gave Jim a chance at a job. Possibly knowing Jim for years before Jail and thought Jim had redeemed himself after working with him for years. Then one day randomly Jim relapses and SA's Anya for some reason.
The canon then goes from there.
Also at the end when Jim talks to Pollie he calls you old man because Jim sees Anya and his kid as a Horse.
Apparently the horse is near the dorms and Jim would have had to pass the Horse to get to Anya's room. The horse speaking to Jim as he passed it. Jim thus mentally links pleasure and Anya with the horse.
Jimmy is straight up one of the most evil villains in fiction, and it's terrifying to think that people like him exist in real life.
i dont even think it's fair to call him a villain, he's just straight up a piece of shit human that doesn't understand how much destruction he causes by trying to "fix" all of the problems that he himself causes.
he's a walking curse to everything around him, but he sees himself as a hero somehow

There are few characters I despise more than Jimmy. Delusional, selfish, short-sighted and unable to take on responsibility. A deadly combination of traits unable to see the consequences of his actions so long as the issue at hand might be fixed, which he is too incompetent to accomplish.
