People are wondering why babymetal song never used as anime ost. Just look at their live performance in japan. Who need anime ost if we can watch this epicness.
These girls work pretty damn hard every performance. Imagine having to be that high energy, and do a whole dance routine, while singing. Most other star would have slow songs, or long guitar solos break up their performances. I don't think Babymetal does either of those.
There tends to be instrumental interludes, and some songs performed by Su by herself, or by Moa & Yui. There has been a shift to promoting Moa to also do Solo duties as well in the post Yui era.
I've seen Live performances via TH-cam & everything I see, they always are moving, dancing, high energy, etc. These girls definitely work hard & have high endurance.
Su and Moa are such tight friends it must be so hard for the new girl… when Yui stopped I don’t think anyone new how hard it would be to fill her shoes. They still go so hard on this song, they are amazing. Not sure if this is Momoko in Yuis spot, but she did so well.

I get the same excitement watching/listening to BABYMETAL as I did when Reign in Blood was released, revived my interest in metal, sucks I'm 10 years too late. The girls are much easier to look at then the guys in Slayer however.
What made Babymetal so special specially the yui era is them looking like your daughters doing badass concerts. You just cant resist to be so proud of them like a father. Even the toughest guys would melt seeing kids perform amazingly. They have this aura that makes you want to protect them at all cost and never let them be exposed to our cruel world.
Wow, these recent performances of Gimme Chocolate are amazing. I thought the old ones were good, but this sounds great. The choreography is even better now and their expressions have been perfected. The newer camera tech also does them more justice.

The last time I felt this overwhelming feeling of what the hell am I listening and seeing (in a good way), was when I saw Metallica for the very first time in my life playing Sandman over 30 years ago, I couldn't believe what I was experiencing, I couldn't stop listening to it. I never experienced anything remotely close to that feeling again until now that I saw/hear BM for the very first time! What an unexpected and pleasant surprise! BabyMetal is such an overwhelming experience in a very good positive way! Hope they keep it going for a very very long time! A-FCKN-MAZIIIING!🤘👏

Well, if I can guess, 2 things come to mind: maybe the only thing you are confused about is why you like it. And the second is that they clearly take being fun incredibly seriously: while their is a lot of talent and hard work and training that went into the catchy & melodic hard hitting music and performance what they've really done is create an amazing live performance/experience. Their live energy is second to almost nobody else. And it's authentic and infectious. I'm just guessing but I've also been a fan since 2016. So it's an educated guess because I've been confused for months before calling myself a fan. 😃 Now before you type a reply maybe look up: Babymetal Metrock 2015 (a Google search will probably point to Dailymotion: Tokyo Metropolitan Rock Festival 2015).

dont be confused,you have discovered the holy grail of ultimate rock. when koba metal put this lot together he was giving a masterclass in the japanese art of doing everything better then everything before it. he took 3 small girls, and teamed them up with some thrash speed metalers, knowing full well that their tiny voices would boo out from in font of that band, he dressed them up cute i what has been called japanese battledress, and turned them loose on the world, safe in the knowledge that we would love them. and we do. im' old too, and a metal head, started way back with sabbath and purple, right up to present day with metallica etc and i still gravitate to babymetal for my music and dance on a daily basis. checkout RIHO SAYASHI too. she is one of the babymetal avengers, and she is trruly beautiful to look at and a lovely singer. its just a shame babymetal management didnt giver a microphone.

Their is a combination of the culture of western & Japanese metal, but also J-Pop idol culture,which in part is based on old Japanese traditions. Using ideas where it overlaps or taking the best parts of all. Babymetal by design (for lack of a better word) exists to let the audience to participate. I think this leads to this unique connection. We are all Babymetal or The One. Those on stage and those in the audience.

It's clear he wanted to work with Suzuka after Karen Girl's. This idea of Suzuka at the front with metal music was a crazy idea, but he saw her talent and thought it might work. But Kobametal still had doubts it would work too: "former president of amuse but still has close ties with the company. he talks about how he gave Koba advice to just go out and do what [you] want to do or you might regret it later. If you can be successful with it you will have created something unique to yourself and can build on that to make something even more special in the future." Four years ago, TH-cam suggested this song to me, and I took a chance on clicking on it. As a metal fan going back to the mid 80's with Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer, moving into the 90s with Pantera, Tool, and Korn, then onto Opeth, Lamb of God and Arch Enemy in the 2010s, I first thought "WTF is this crap? And why do I like it? I should absolutely hate this." But I couldn't get enough of it. Now I proudly wear my Babymetal t-shirts around town and crank Karate, Road Of Resistance, and Babymetal Death in my car and home stereo to make sure everybody in my neighborhood can hear their glory.
