First thing first, you was holding floor tiles not wall tiles. Second please use the minimap, there you see what walls you are meant to destroy or build, you also see where you got to mount devices. And when it said "Place: Carpet Round..." it meant carpet round not anything else, what stands there is exactly what you are meant to put down. I think you figured it out but the paint you are missing in the rooms is in the windows. And you window washy thing gets better when you upgrade your mop. And please remember to spend your skill points all the time. That WILL help. Please like so TmarTn sees.

Few tips:
- When moving/placing objects use Shift + Mouse Wheel for 90° snap
- Use a minimap - it shows usually what you need to build/demolish.
- You can exit the house and then get back if you need to read email.
- Another task you had in the back room you just created. 22:30
The fun will start when you buy the first house to flip. ;) Lot of work, space for creativity and selling part is fun as well (you can make nice money). It is good to flip small cheap house first to find out preferences of the buyers.
