I have the Margaux 10 and LOVE it. It's so well-made, goes with anything, and elevates casual outfits. Can confirm the 10 has a shoulder strap but it's not adjustable, which is one thing I'd change if I could. It's not a Birkin though and I find the comparison going around online a little odd. Can't they both be great in their own right?? :)
Deb, your exploration into the Margo vs. Birkin debate was incredibly insightful! Your firsthand experiences with both bags provided a balanced view that's hard to come by. I appreciate how you broke down the pros and cons, especially highlighting aspects like accessibility and price, which are often overshadowed by the allure of exclusivity. It's refreshing to see someone acknowledge the practical challenges of iconic bags like the Birkin while also being open to new contenders like the Margo. Your conclusion resonates with many of us luxury enthusiasts who hold a special place for the timeless Birkin, yet are curious about emerging trends. Can't wait to see if the Margo stands the test of time or if it becomes a fleeting trend. Your videos always give me something to ponder on my luxury journey!
I’ve had a Margaux for years and love it. I got my Birkin last year and it’s amazing! Both great bags, but not at all alike to me, except they’re both totes.
I loved ur assessment of the Margaux and ur comparison to the Birkin. I think it's right on! Knowing what an Hermès lover u are I was ready to hear u rip the Margaux apart. I was so pleased to hear that u didn't. I own two Margaux's in different sizes, both in the pebbled leather, and now want another in the sz 12 in smooth leather or suede. I saw a Margaux in a magazine, in Croc, years ago and fell head over heals for it. I didn't know what it was or who made it, so I didn't get my first one until last year. I never buy a bag bc it may or may not hold it's value, that's not a factor for me bc I never resell my bags. I keep them or gift them to friends and family. If I were in a position to resell my bags it might matter. BTW, the 7, 10 & 12 have shoulder straps, altho they don't seem to be making the 7 anymore.
Thank you so much. I love quality and could see that in the Margaux. I was very impressed. I love the idea of maybe a 10 or 12 in black suede. Delicious!
Definitely great marketing by a The Row Whisperers… but now the appeal to me on aesthetics or functionality, they are more statement pieces for fashion lovers
omg it's a complete marketing and PR campaign. Everyone is doing free ads for The Row. Next year...next bag lol Birkin will still be there. LOVE BOTH YOUR CHANNELS BTW
I have two Margaux - 12 and E/W 17, in saddle leather and it the soft matte grained chocolate leather. Both are lovely 😊 I’m also a Hermes customer and own some bags from them too, I could have bought Birkin 3 times and I did not. I’m tired with this marketing of no access to this bag - even though it was offered to me in the end 3 times, I said no only because of this whole thing as you said that you have to prove you are worthy. I think it’s stupid. I buy a lot at Loro Piana and they never make you feel like you have to earn it girl before you can even look. I love my Hermes bags and I love the Row, I love my Extra Pocket ostrich from Loro Piana, these are all lovely products. I wonder whether it even makes sense to compare, cause knowing sisters Olsen, I don’t think they even think of Margaux as a new Birkin. They really own their business, it seems they want to create what we want. By the way I love your voice 😍
@@Wildunfiltered I think the 12 but they certainly fulfill different purpose- the 17 is more for work and business travel - can carry a laptop, spare pair of shoes etc. The 12 is every day bag. I love Birkin but I totally agree with you that closing it and they opening is a piece of work. I’m too much in my bag all the time 😅
I’m not a birkin fan. If it can’t crossbody it’s not for me. But I still acknowledge the birkin as the reigning king 😂 Nothing about the Row speaks to me either 😂 Wallet marked safe (not safe at LV tho)!!!!
I don't understand why everyone is comparing the Margot to the Birkin . The Margot has it's own identity . The Balenciaga Rodeo bag could definitely be compared to the Birkin and Kelly . I definitely feel it rivals them . I think the question of whether the Row Margot is the new Birkin refers to the fact that it is a sought after bag that is always sold out and difficult to get your hands on . That's the only similarity I see .
I wouldn’t take the “margaux is the new birkin” thing literally. I think it’s more of an issue of desirability and coolness. The birkin doesn’t particularly appeal to me and I find the “journey” to be distasteful.
I’m glad I’m not the only one loving the Margaux bags. I think they are so chic but in a casual way. I just love it.
Just love them. Very interesting

Agreed. They are both great. I would like to see the Margaux 10 in the flesh. I think I would love it x
@@Wildunfiltered It's a perfect everyday bag! Mary's Room here on YT has a great review and comparison to the B25.

Thank you x
I have a Kelly. And I still want the Birkin and I think I might want the Margaux ❤❤
Me too x

I love that you love both x
This is a great comparison, I think the row bag would suit your aesthetic ❤
I loved it Jen! X
Thank you so much for all the information on the Margaux bag. It’s been chasing me for months. Now all I have to do is find one! 😮
I found a couple online. There’s a link in my description box x
OK I’ll definitely check them out!

@@jonnywoo5962 hey thanks so much!
Totally agree Dayle. Fab marketing. I really liked the suede Margaux - I don’t think I would buy it due to too much hype but I did like it x
Aw thank you x
I think I would have adored a Kelly with two handles for better stability.
👌
It's Croc not croc effect. The Row don't do stamped leathers.
Oh interesting x

Horses for courses, innit? The Ro2ws overall aesthetic isn't for me, whereas I could actually see myself becoming a bit of an Hermès girl! 🍊
I can see you rocking a Birkin Gwenny!
Next year when big bags go off trend, I fear the Row bag will just fade out.
It will be interesting to see x
Nothing like the Birkin!!
I agree x

If i had money to blow I would buy the Margot bag as a work tote
It would be fab for work x
I’m sure the Row bag is amazing but it is not nor will it ever be a Birkin IMO. ♥️
Agreed x
I know what you are trying to say, but there is nothing at all quiet about a Birkin. For me that would definitely be a downside as beautiful as it is.
I suppose it is a quiet aesthetic without logos etc. But it is recognisable all the same x
I'm sorry I think k the Birkin. Bag is ugly...the Row bag is absolutely beautiful and because of its quiet luxury it will not go out of style imo.
Time will tell. I love them both x

Yes it’s all about it being desirable x
No bag can compete with Birkin! But the weight is the main issue for me !
Totally agree x
