Look, it's ok if you don't know basic knowledge. Just look at a map from time to time, I literally learned it that way - before learning basic geography I was very ignorant about it. It's not a bad word, it's a fact. Just look at the map, I literally don't care if I pass for the mean youtube comment of the day, nobody says you have to know everything but it's important to keep learning things and knowing BASIC geography is literally so easy, it just takes some time to stop saying embarrassing stuff. the way the filipino guy spoke at the front of his mouth gave me spanish, and the way he spoke at the back of his throat gave me southeast asian, which really just makes sense.

its so funny how so many people forget that most African / Asian countries were colonized and therefore speak English/French as their main languages. E.g. Morroco speaks French (although i think it might be slightly different) and English is an official language of Pakistan.

I think accents are beautiful, they represent a deep cultural background, people that either by choice or by other circumstances learned English and it demonstrates strength and bravery, accents so often are considered a hinderance to native speakers, there’s bigotry attached to it, but it should be the opposite, it should be celebrated and respected.
