    I have short term attention spam and I stayed focused the whole way through. And it really hard for me to do this but it's the way he speaks kept me focused and understood each word that came out of his mouth

    What if you don't have any sangat around you or positive sangat, because at home when i listen to gurbani all day i am very calm, and all i think about is waheguru akaal purakh howveer when i go to school all the students are swearing, gossiping i don't indulge in it but honestly out of nowhere i agree with someone being bad how can i stop that.

      Bhenji, Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji ki fateh. I feel the same, and I had/ have the same problem. But, the solution is hard. I Had 20 friends in school and I have graduated recently. You won't believe what I had to do to overcome this problem. I mean I didn't do anything, Waheguru ji did. Those 20 friends are now acquaintances. I had to ditch my friends. It was hard. I wanted to go back. But Waheguru ji kept me away from bad sangti. Now, I don't have good sangati around me. But I keep listening to Maskeen ji's katha for guidance and believe me or not basics of Sikhi is a life saviour. So much Gurbani content. I fell in love with this channel when I saw bhai Jagraj Singh ji's prachar video. Anyways, I hope you got the answer. But remember one thing" Bin Bhaagan Satsang na labhai Bin sangat mail bhareejai Jiyo." Find good sangti for guidance and self betterment.
      ! Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

      @@dyalsingh4267 I also find myself in a similar situation as you both were in. You, listening to Maskeen ji's katha for guidance, and how BOS is sooo helpful and how you fell in love with BOS after watching Bhai Jagraj Singh's vid. It all is just so relatable truly!
      I hope that you have gotten a sangat of Gursikhs till now or if you haven't then may Guru Sahib ji continue to do mehr on you and bestow you with Sangat of Gursikhs and that you continue to walk on this path of love with full devotion and dedication with Guru Shaib ji's mehr.

    Interesting video. It's important to look into the fundamental concept given in each shabad. Having looked into the first two quotes you gave, I found that the guru points to an underlying message which was that the mind cannot be cleaned.
    As we can see on Ang 621, re jan outhaarai dhabiouhu..., clarity through the conduct of living must be centred as an overruling principle. By acting through the gurus teaching, not simply repeated as a mantra (which has been incorrectly implemented by the seepage of Hindu and Buddhist practices)
    As well as continuing to think of ourselves as being imperfect, which is highly contradictory to the gurus message that the infinite lives through you and existence.

    i know this question aint relevant to this video, but i just wanted to know. Is loving someone such as husband/wife or family a form of emotional attachment?
    Thanks, vjkk vjkf

    • @13Daas
      @13Daas 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Vjkk, Vjkfateh,
      Love & attachment are 2 different things. In the state of love there is no pain we are completely free, there is no attachment.
      Our aim is not to destroy attachment instead through Guru's kirpa destroy ego which will allow us to control attachment and use it positively to get by in life.

      Baljit Singh thank you for your reply paji. I think i understand the difference between love and attachment better now.

    I find it a chicken and egg problem. For the mind to be stable I need to recite Naam, however, when I sit down to recite Naam I cannot keep my mind stable. I do agree with keeping good Sangat. I've noticed significant change in myself when I have the right sangat. But again lucky are the ones who get good sangat, not everybody does get it. I've also seen people with the opportunity to have sangat but they do not seem to care for it, for they do not seem to have that desire. So how does one develop that desire then?

      punjjabi voice brother their main target here is to educate people living in western including Sikhs and other communities as well. Bhaji my benti to u is that since u know punjabi, why don’t you start understanding our Guru and become a Gursikh.

      Because there are people like me who understand panjabi speak it well but dont understand certain things. This was perfect for me. He spoke panjabi in between for people like me with short attention spams this helps us stay focused as we see what he is doing so then we are glued to what's happening and being sed
