Dexter how many eggs does ur chicken breeds lay on a yearly basis ? Ive got several breeds for many different colorful eggs . But Im breeding all my hens w a high production rooster . Wanting colorful birds along w great layers . Time will tell . Chics aroind here sell for 3.99-7.99 deprnding mostly on egg coloring . Like the Marans , Araucana, brahma, sapphire gem etc . I enjoy raising them but when I'm sick its tough some days . Feed gets costly too . I'm hoping to sell chics this yr to help pay for grain . I originally bought them to help people out . I give my eggs away . So I've decided to raise n sell chics .
Hello Dexter! Loving the project!! I would highly suggest that you put a large aerator and some filtration in the ponds. It would increase the oxygen in the water and make it more clear. Thanks for the videos. Saludos y bendiciones from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
Hi good morning everyone just a suggestion the water in the pond where the boat house is needs to be circulating ( it looks to stagnant ) . Stagnant water will compromise the health of the water ( creates bad parasites ) which will compromise the health of the fish, duck etc..
One thing ive done is buying a feed mixture made by my local feed store . A little bit of savings but biggest reason I don't want medicated feed . Also little bit don't trust the powers to b n charge . I even had to stop buying laying pellets ; (?) Something or another was added to do just da opposite . This is very true as I'm not the only one who's had to switch grain .
Do you have any aerial predators you have to be concerned about? That's why I can't let my chickens free wrong. But i've built a nice extended run for them to protect them from the hawks
Add in a few of solid black ones. Ever seen crows or black birds chasing a hawk. I have. Add in some all black chickens i guess the hawk thinks its. Crow and dosent want the fight that would come. Idk why it works but it does.
Wow, this is beautiful 😍 I've only got to learn about Organic poultry in class... This has just opened my eyes to not just Organic poultry but Organic Agriculture...
Im n da process doing just that ! Im breeding high laying amount breeds into colorful birds . Wanting high production w beautiful coloring . I now have 15-17 different breeds .
Dear farm owny where from nice see your video you are really hard ship man may know your nationality and name please good idea in one farm you have breeds thanks a lot
First of all I don't agree with the chicken farms where the chickens can't even move. That's cruel. What isn't told to you about free range chickens is this. We had free range chickens as a child. Free range chickens do eat mice and insects. Anyone who tells you differently, is lying.
Hi. Totally agree with you on the first part. We have chicken and in the event they see a mouse, they chase it down and consume it....whenever there are ants around, they eat them and many other insects they might meet
I used to OJT in Lao farm here in Mindanao before... They also practicing organic farming.. hope this will be open in public kabayan
I started my rhode island chickens late last year and it so relaxing to see my chickens daily. Life in the farm is so relaxing

Have you seen the North Carolina Coop design for chickens? I would love to see if you can adapt the design to your farm.

@@aluvanzesylvia405 I grew up around chickens as a child and I saw them eat mice
@@jeanprice2514 totally bashed you for no reason. I am sorry. I read that they do not eat mice and insects
@@aluvanzesylvia405 had no reason to lie. I remember because seeing that was quite disturbing to me as a child. 🤢
