I first saw this show when I was 11 years old. I'm so glad it found a home here on TH-cam so I can see it again. :)
The 8 th man was aired in 1965 through 1967.l wasn't born in the mid 60's but this animated is brilliant Thank you so much for the upload.
I used to automatically wake up every Saturday morning in 1965 at 7a.m., without an alarm, just to watch the weekly episode of 8th man. I was 7 years old at the time and loved this cartoon, along with Astro Boy, although 8th Man was my favorite. Funny though, I didnt know any other kids who had ever heard of these shows back then; none of my friends had any interest in them.
There were no kids on the street when 8th Man was on. My best recollection is that it was broadcast by UHF Channel 17 out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 4 PM ET in '65 through '67.

@@McNabbulous I remember him introducing the episodes. The memories of that are like black and white snapshots. In the first(?) episode 8th Man hoists a car over his head.

I was 6 years old when this came on now I'm 59 and still like Tobor he was a bad mother "shut yo mouth" but I'm talkn bout tobor, we can dig it
I'm not sure I remember when I first saw it, but I remember the local station switching it out for Gigantor when I was in first grade. (That would be '66 or '67.) Yeah, he was bad.

What I love about Dr. Spectra is that he's devious, cocky, and arrogant, yet intelligent, calculating, and cunning. And he's formidable in his own ways. Spectra is not a villain to be underestimated. Easily one of the most memorable villains in the show.

He's one of the best villains in the show.
Spectra probably never thought he would actually work WITH 8th man in the "Super Human Mutant" two-parter (never shown in U.S., but a version with subtitles is up on this channel).
I was addicted to these, when I was wee boy, back in the late '60's, early '70's. Couldn't wait to get out of school, ta see 'em!!! 😁 Happily relocated them, on TH-cam, a couple of years ago. 'INTER-CRIME', is like 'INTERPOL', ---equal😏…………
"Oh, can anyone help me", asks Dr. Finebrain?? "I can help you", says 8th. Man (@07:49), as he shows up, like a magical, fairy godmother🤭!!!! And the line; "It isn't perfected yet, it only works on chickens". That's really beyond, unacceptable imperfection.

This is a fantastic series! I watched it when I was a kid back in the 1960's. But.. whatever happened to Pounce, The Robot Tiger? He was a terrific character... then, you never see him again after this episode. Perhaps the writers of 8TH Man decided he was too powerful?
Haven't seen this episode since 1967 when I was in grade 3.
Why oh why didn't 8th Man take Dr Spectra with him and chuck him in jail??? He had him in the palm of his hand.
Is Pounce The Tiger robot number 5? If he is then who is robot number 6? We already know that Samantha 7 is robot number 7.
Speaking of, I always wondered whatever happened to Super Robots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6. We know who numbers 5, 7, and 8 are. But not the previous ones. This could be a concept to explore should 8-Man ever see a reboot.

We know that 8-Man is experiment #8, as his name implies. And we know of Samantha 7 and Robot X05. But this raises the question; what happened to experiments 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6?
They are working at Star Fleet with Computers M 1,2,3and4
