Holy shit I just programmed something very similar to this with the use of mikes hypertrophy guide; the only difference being I added a 7th day which is between day3-4 for just shoulders then flipped day4 and 5 to allow for tricep recovery. Really glad to know as a non-formally educated lifter I am doing something right
I think your right about hypertrophy training as a foundation to strength, or as a foundation as you begin to build strength. They will come together at some point, for me it's just being safe to have that mass before lifting heavy

If you train for strength and power and then focus on hypertrophy you blow up. Cool to see your training program 😎💯. CG bench is money especially in higher rep ranges.
I agree!! I like to compete in strongman but I i want to max out the lightweight class so im taking a minimum 6 months to focus on putting on muscle mass.
@Dr retardo powerlifting is solid if it is your thing. I like to put an emphasis on OHP and weighted chinups and calisthenics obviously with the big 3. I just know there are a thousand different ways to get jacked. You can do a crap ton of volume if you build a work capacity. Which is contrary to the common natural belief. Hypertrophy is not a joke, but yeah compounds are the way!!!! I just like a lot of compounds outside the big 3. The big 3 are bread and butter though

It's funny, I made my own program I couple of months back to just go b2tw hypertrophy with some arm wrestling specifics and it looks so much like this but replace legs with extra arm days.

Maybe add some heavy stuff now , if you get real strong muscles bit tendons remain weak, you could rip em straight off.
