On dump cakes I do my topping differently. I mix the cake w the melted butter and make it into a crumble like you would for an apple crisp. Then it’s easy to sprinkle over the top. It looks great and gives it a crunchy top.

I've done that for all the dump cakes I've made. I also use crushed pineapples under the fruit. Easiest dessert to make, loved by kids and grandkids.
Oh yeah, scoop of ice cream on top. 🙂🙂

Nope!! Very unhealthy. Contains corn syrup. Corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup are so bad for you but they're in everything now!! Cookies, pies, ice cream, canned fruits, etc etc.

I used to slice the butter and would get the occasional missed spot. Then I started to melt it in the microwave and pour it over... much better coverage. Gotta love dump cakes! They're fantastic hot or cold! Thanx for sharing the triple threat!🙃

Another little FYI about successful whipcream? Make sure your cold bowl does not have any oil/grease on the inside. Even a tiny bit will keep your whipcream from whipping up nicely.
