I have 1600 watts of solar already on my boat at a solar arch at the stern area. I am going to add another group of panels of the same power as a hardtop. But without any fiberglass. Just panels joined at edges are more than enough strong and stable. My current installation is proven to withstand 60 kts winds wihout even moving a milimeter and i have travelled quite a lot in last 4 years. I upgraded this year my 1400 ah gel to 1500 ah lifepo4 and it is almost perfect - but with extra 1600 watts solar I will be able to add an a/c and enjoy comfort at the anchor at those particularly hot nights. With my current installation I run everything incl. Icemaker and watermaker and electric cooking. The boat is heavy old 46'. My friend has 4 kW of solar at his cat and he even uses the dishwasher.

Wow sound fantastic. I plan to add a large alternator to the main engine for backup and charging after days of low sunlight. At the moment we can only recharge our 900 amps via solar. On sunny days we run our 700w air conditioning and still are charging the batteries.

Writing things like 1800 watts during 10 hours means 180 watts/h says a lot about the skills of the author. Maybe you should think about the meaning of the unit “watt”. Please make a video in which you explain what watt per hour means to you. To be honest: Wh makes sense W/h is complete nonsense.
