Must be away from farms. In the UK water is not safe to drink even after boiling. This is due to heavy metals in pesticides.

+jennifer russell water out a tap is fine. It has been treated to remove heavy metals. But water from streams near crop farming is polluted. Boiling cannot fix that. Take your water from above farm level and filter it through cloth and treat it. I am a survival instructor.

Hey mate, just wanted to let you know that everything I know about surviving in the outdoors today is 5% just getting out there and learning the hard way and 95% because of watching your videos and putting them into practice. I've practiced most of this during my year of travel in the Indonesian rainforests and volcanoes and it has been fantastic. Changed a few things here and there but credit goes to your brilliant way of explaining things and easy to understand advice. Now I'm in Perth, Australia and would like to learn a little more about how to fiddle my way through the bush here as conditions are quite different to that of Indonesia and also the UK. Any advice?

Thanks for doing this type of video Alfie! I didn't realize how much room you have in your pack when all of you equipment is one the inside, very impressive. Have you ever thought of trying to fish while you're out on a trip? I've seen little fishing kits in past videos and wondered if you ever attempted to try and catch a little guppy or something, some fresh fish would go great in a stew of some sort. Keep up the good work, never change the way you do things, innovative and entertaining!

Good video. I've always wondered why so many people dill holes in their pots and water bottles to hang them over a fire. The wire trick works really good and you don't have to carry the fish mouth spreader. Stay safe.

I'm a gun owner, I love knives, and I love camping (haven't done so in years though). I love my country, and I am forever proud to be an American. I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Worthy addition to your kit.
electrical tape works well if you have a cut or nick. Found it really handy both on the jobsite and on army exercises.
