Ya love the suspension. For most ppl the ability to glide over bad roads without a worry is what's really needed when they buy a suv. Most of us will never go for real offroading.

No Tata Mahindra or the Koreans can Come close to the material quality ,drive and build quality of this Beast.
Every Time You Open the door it brings a smile to your face.
My suggestion,Buy it with the 4x4.

I own a Jeep Compass 🧭 Trailhawk and let me tell you it’s an absolute gem 💎 on Broken roads . It drives like a tank . The broken patches where other SUVs drives at 10 Km / hour I drive at 50Kms / hour at that’s the moment you feel Jeep is a Jeep 😊. I live in Bangalore and absolutely love ❤️ the broken roads of the city. Although Trailhawk is discontinued I would recommend to buy it if at all it’s back on sale as compared to Model S. With Rock mode and skid plates it’s a mountain ⛰️ goat 🐐. The true Go anywhere, do anything .

Been driving a Compass for 2 years now. Even though I have a petrol 4x2 version, it's a sheer joy to drive. It's built like a tank and feel solid on road. The suspension makes it easy to drive even on bad roads a breeze. I am very happy with my choice.

I have the same car, but it's a Model S 4x4. I bought it 3 months ago and have driven 9k miles so far. The rattling noise is quite high, and the gear shifts are not smooth, in my opinion. Sometimes, the engine is too noisy. However, if I set the AC at 24°C, it's okay. The ventilated seats are not very effective. On the positive side, the lights and the 360-degree camera in this car are magnificent. I love it.

    I own a Compass Black Shark 4x2.
-Is the price tag hefty compared to the competition?…Yes!
-Does it lack some electronic features that are offered by other modern SUV’s today at much lower prices?…Yes!
-So do I regret buying this car?…NO!!
I absolutely love Compass despite its shortcomings because…
-The driving dynamics and handling are unmatched on the highway at speed.
-The quality of the interior reeks of luxury and rivals that of cars in a much higher segment…superb.
-Though noisy at lower revs , the engine is torquey and smooth in the higher revs.
    - It is possibly the most fun to drive sub compact SUV available in the market today.
The only singular gripe I have is with the low slung front fender which just doesn’t live upto the ‘go anywhere’ tag line marketed by Jeep…it tends to scrape on the lowest of obstacles off-road.

One of the best review and comparison on TH-cam till date regarding Jeep compass....I am too planning to upgrade from ecosport and really confused....I am considering Jeep compass limited 4*2..
Which is 33lacs on road and XUV 700 ax7l AWD which is 31 l appx.... compass just as you said has brand value...better looks(personal opinion)... premium fit and finish but expensive to maintain and service issues
Xuv is more value for money having lot of features not to mention AWD at this price point cheaper to maintain and better service....and just personal opinion I found the XUV more fun to drive... steering does feel light initially but weighs up smoothly as it gains speed.
I do agree if I had a budget of 40 I might have gone with S variant 4*4

How is harrier in this segment. A medium spec compass costs around 30L on road. Thats 50% more than a mid spec harrier.
The only thing common is the engine and that too is in very different tune.
By that logic most entry level merc, bmw and Audi also come with a 2L engine.
Having said that, compass only makes sense in deisel manual. That auto gearbox is tuned towards comfort which doesnt go with the sporty nature of the car.

I’m awaiting delivery for my JC 4x4 S variant in techno green shade in a week’s time. It is actually a downgrade for my beloved 8 year old E 250 and I felt all the premium vehicles are much more than my budget due to a high inflation rate in the past few years. When I considered for a new vehicle, there was no second thoughts other than compass. The sturdiness, built quality, steering feedback, suspension and driving dynamics is a class above. For me, who has driven only German vehicles with diesel engine, there are no other option under 45 Lakhs budget

@@motoroids Well you seem to understand my statement other way around and concluded to buy Maruti. No issues. I would suggest you to create another review with Jeep Compass starting variant - 'Sport' (23 lack on road price) and then you will realize how many good features are being offered in it since you were repeatedly saying 'pricey' taking example of the top variant which costs 40 lakhs. BTW the latest 2024 model ground clearance has been increased from 178 mm to 206 mm (Many web sites on google still haven't updated it) and it has 9 speed automatic gear box and many advanced features which is lacking in its competitors. However, these points may not go well with people who are more lenient towards XUV 700

    • @motoroids
      @motoroids  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

We have appreciated the qualities of the car. But if you're going to pick the base variant then you'll have to pick the base variants of the competition also. For eg the AX5 and Z8 S variants of XUV and Scorpio are much cheaper. We have Clearly mentioned that no car matches it in terms of its interior, its fabulous ride quality at speed, the build quality and everything. But in the end, there is a reason why it's not selling enough. And that reason, my friend is price. We can argue about it all night long, but the fact remains - this car would sell a lot more if it was priced better, AND if Jeep had better service. About the 9 speeder, more gears don't always mean a better transmission. It's slightly slower than it should be.
