This video is EXCELLENT ( perhaps in the future this channel might 'tackle' all the "Sacred 28" in similar style,to have the blacks or the prewetts laid so bare would be a treasure of a series of videos imo)
Agreed..the other pure bloodlines not mentioned in the sacred 28 like the Potters and Dumbledore and Weasleys etc. There are more that were also un included for various bs reasons.
Draco Malfoy: repaired the vanishing cabinet that brought Death Eaters onto Hogwarts grounds. Lucius Malfoy: threw away one of Voldemort’s horcruxes, lost the prophecy, burned some tents at the Quiddich World Cup.
So, to sum up: 1. Unlike some families (like the Gaunts and the Blacks) the Malfoy have always been very, very level-headed, down-to-earth and practical 2. Unlike most families (again like the Gaunts) they managed not only preserve but increase their wealth even when business with muggles ended 3. Thanks to their rationality, they managed to survive and preserve their status during the War of the Roses and later political chaos 4. Their allegiance stayed the same thorought 10 centuries and never changed, their loyalty to the family. 5. Their attutude to blood purity has never been about magical status, but status in general and they never paid attention to it when it mattered (Snape and Lucius were genuine friends) 6. The level of violence during Middle-ages was nothing different to the average in the world 7. They were never really power hungry, caring more about preservation of their own 8. The real villian in the series is not actually Voldemort, but the Statute of Secrecy, which made appearance of extremists (the Weasleys are as extremist in the views as the Malfoys, really) inevitable. Voldie was its product, really So, I'd say this is a very good approach, all in all. Whoever the King is today, the Manor is a thousand years old and must stand. Good for the Malfoy family!
It's interesting to me how a family can be so bad but still allowed to do whatever they want in the story. Lucius was so cartoonishly evil its wild to me how people let that slide.
That’s the point the. It’s kind of playing on how the wealthy can pay to play for crime meanwhile the little people actually have consequences. It’s not just wealth but immense power. He’s a death eater with known ties to Voldy that magically no one can prove because anyone who speaks out against the Malfoys magically recant or just die. That’s the point. Power and evil go hand in hand
If Armand Malfoy was born in 1066, how could he part of the invading force of the Normans. He wouldn't have been able to fight at Hastings. Just curious
I have a question for you about a theory. What would’ve happened in the chamber of secrets if Gildaroy Lockheart had gotten Harry’s wand instead and had cast a memory charm on Ron and Harry? Ginny would’ve died and Voldemort basically would’ve come back and two Voldemort’s would’ve been running around. Just curious what your thoughts would be on this. Also, a theory I had for why Harry was considered to be good for Slytheran not because he had the personality but because the Sorting Hat could sense Voldemort’s piece of soul in him, making him a candidate for Slytheran house. Just thoughts.
There's no way enough money was made before the statute of secrecy to support such a rich and lavish lifestyle for nearly a millennium... it makes you wonder if they're still dealing with muggle money and such behind the scenes, or at least were until much more recently. I dont think taking advantage of muggles for their own gain would be beneath them.
@@KeyboardSerpent they definite do. They are likely to be a corporation, not just a family by this time. They’d disdain for muggles has always been just a talk (Hello, Statute!) and was never a problem whet it came to actual business

Good for the Malfoy family!
Can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or YOUR ACTUALLY RIGHT but it pisses me off to no end to admit it.
@@Phillisophical the moment you realise Lucius is very often right (especially when he says Hogwarts is a sh*t hole) makes you scared. Yes.

Another banger video 🙌🙌 these deep dives are great dude.
Glad you like them!
I'm sorry but the crest of House Malfoy is beautiful
The Malfoys have always been like the Landgraabs from the Sims franchise lol
😂 good comparison
Excellent video! I'd love for this t be a series. There are so many interesting families that we don't know nearly enough about.
How did the Irish "Troubles" affect the Ministry of Magic?

❤ Awesome as always thanks
With the rise of ai generated channels I appreciate you even more
Thank-you so much!
I’m just gonna say it. I truly despise the Malfoys.
I don't think they were related to the Tonks as Mr. Tonks was a muggle born the reason his wife was disowned from the Black family
@@TheSonofruss they weren’t. But Narcissa and Andromeda are sisters. So, that makes them related through marriage
And then the entire family finally turned away from the Dark Side after the Battle of Hogwarts
Well....I think Draco did. The dark side Malfoys would eventually die out with his parents.
Not the whole family. Draco parents were still blood purist in their ideology
I think it makes sense, the dark side wasn't sustainable and it was losing.
More like a blight on the whole wizarding world.
Can you do a video for me please about what would have happened if Dumbledore had lived

@@michellecollins6193 he wasn’t born in 1066. He was an adult and came with the Conqueror.
The story of the Malfoy family in Britain begins in 1066

What was the last family you mentioned the gag what?

If Almond Malloy was born in 1066, he didn’t participate in the Norman Invasion!
If the Weasley really stopped and think they could give a burn to Draco and his mom because Draco mom side did marry people from the Weasley side
Love the Malfoys. They had it right
I know you, or at lest someone you know can make story better then what if Dexter yes form Dexter's lab was a wizard
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

They used there magic to become rich?
*their
And...yes....they used magic to get rich and gain high social status.
Surprise! The Malfoys are the most selfish people in the wizarding world. 🎉
Come on, now! Everyone knows that Queen Elizabeth I married a Doctor from Gallifrey!

So much repetition here. volte face = volta fatch eh it's Latin meaning about face eschewed = eshewed meaning avoided
Huh
Yeah, huh?
Do you HAVE to repeat yourself so often !!!!
