The motors and esc gets quite hot if you run 3 blade props on 3s according to some. I'm guessing the escs are only 12A which isn't good for 3 blade use. Best to stick to 2 blades for 3s.
Nice vid will be better with that smaller gps, i took my bugs up high today and the wind made me lose orientation fast, when it became a dot in the sky my battery got low then it dissappeared, after 1 hour searchin i found it nearly a mile away squished into the mud with the top cover popped off, no damage to props, and it flies perfect, for a toy grade quadcopter it is sturdy as hell!

What is the make and model of the battery bought? And does it fit in the drone without any modification? Also does the drone lost any stability? There is nothing bad to say about the Bugs 3. Just an amazing quad for the money, cost aside its still a great quad. Lends itself incredibly well to modifications. Really blurs the line between toy and hobby grade quadcopters. This is the quad you want if you are going from toy grade to race quad, its also the quad you want as a second flyer. Buy a cheap knock off go pro and throw the legs back on and in 5 min you have a nice camera bird as well. Cant go wrong with this one!! For Around $220 you could by the drone, a 3s battery, a nice 5.8 fpv cam, goggles, a knock off go pro and you would have everything covered. 1 quad to rule them all so to speak.
Any probs with your ESCs with the 6045s,I was reading a review on some gemfan or dal props 6045 and he said it burned out his ESCs,and to stick to 5045 I have never heard that.would just like to confirm with you ,also would like to run 3s with those props

That would actually go faster if you could ditch the GPS weight. I recently thought I had a bad motor as mine wouldn't hover stable...really jittery. Swapped out for a new set of props and it's like new again. I had no idea they were that sensitive to prop damage as the old ones only had some very minor chips.
What can be done about that drop it does on full forward thrust and how it takes a lot of throttle to stop it from hitting the ground when comming back down fast? Using a 2s 3000mah
Try some Azure props ;) I clocked 104kmh with some Azure Tri blades and 116kmh with bi-blade. I used my Zero X Blitz tho not mjx. But very fast props compared to the stock. Stock I clock 100kmh max.
How do you do gas in a straight line? I've put a 3S and I only see the power when it goes up. If I go in a straight line and give it power, it goes up to full power but there was no front as in your video. Could you give me some advice? Thank you!!
I've heard that the tri-blade props are less efficient and draw more current. That maybe why the smaller C battery struggles and your speeds were down on the 3 blade props. What size are the BN props you tried 6045 or 5045's. The 6045 BN seam faster on my bugs 3 with a 3s or the stock 2s battery than the tri-blade. The Tri-blade are smoother but you can feel the reduction in power. Tigger's RC did a great review on the 6045 BN props with a 3s battery, takes all the jitters and instability out. I found the same, (thanks Tigger!). An old RC planes guy looked at my original props and suggested that they would start to flex with the extra power of a 3s and make it unstable, maybe he is right. I wonder if the Bugs 3 would fly without the jitters on carbon fibre 7.4inch props, (same size as the originals). If they are stiffer through the air and give the Bugs 3 back it's stability on a 3s battery, maybe it would go faster than with any of the other props you've tried? Just thinking out loud :-)
I talked to a local police officer about whether a speed camera would detect a drone. He thinks due to the small size, you may need to put something reflective on the front like a small mirror or aluminium foil.

Nicholas DeLillo You will have problems, if you go with 3s you will burn your ESCs, Triblades have more friction against the air and your motor will draw more amps than the ESCs can handle. These will also not be as fast, they will however handle better and have more "stick" around corners. If you are going to use these only use 2s and don't full throttle it for more than 10s at a time. These will also drain the battery much faster. Maybe 5-7mins of flight time. If you are going to get these Dal 6045 works good. Personally I'd stick with 7040s two blade props because you can run the 3s (keep full throttle under 10secs) and have longer flight times with the 2s
get yourself a couple boxes of Ritz clothing dye and some warm water and soak them in whatever color. . the longer you soak them the darker. does not add weight :0)
I know that bug would go over 50 if it didn't have that bulky gps that's not aerodynamically in the least that's rubber banned to it. Other than, cool ass video. What the weight on that gps you use??
Patrick Andrade yea she should do over 50 easy I haven't weighed the gps but the new gps weighs .75grams so that should help out a lot if I records the speed.
thats a pretty big phone ..it probably weighs as much as the battery..i agree at least 5 mph slower...imo more like 8mph slower with that extra weight.

The tarantula is just that good. There are some videos comparing the tarantula to brushless quads. I had to buy a second one when I found a steal on ebay awhile back.

I’m pretty sure that GPS device would slow down the overall speed of what the drone could handle without it
