This is my first time seeing you and this video was incredible! When you said 25 years in the business, I thought you were about 28! So much good info!
yes would you explain it in more detail the difference between the dior being more brightening and the ysl more color correcting. Thank you for your videos.
So educational. I love this kind of video. I am totally obsessed with concealer cuz I have under eye hollows. I do not want to get filler so I try every single concealer
Hello Cheri, thank you for sharing your incredible knowledge. I’ve seen hundreds of these videos and I feel I’m finally learning something new. What a pleasure to watch someone who has some experience and not some teenager with perfect skin who thinks she know everything. I have one glaring question and this is not a criticism by any means but your eyebrows seem so very close together is this intentional? It’s just something I can’t unsee and I know that you are too knowledgeable for this to be unintentional. I’d appreciate it if you could explain the reason for this. your video was playing when I woke up in the middle of the night so I am subscribing😀psI’m glad you’re wearing a bright shade of lipstick instead of these boring neutrals everyone else seems to be wearing. it’s very classic and a look that I like
Wow 🤩 great video. Even though I don’t use high end products, it was very informative. I love the It Cosmetics concealer, the only one that I have from the video .
Thank you for the roundup and for the tips on other ways to use concealer - I will certainly be trying your eye lift trick and your horizontal buffing technique for marionnette lines. I am in my 60s; I am fair with neutral undertone and some pink overtone (Irish-French heritage). So, for your mature viewers with a similar skin tone as mine, I can recommend two concealers: the Kaja concealer in shade Mooncake - it’s moisturizing, provides light to medium coverage, and it’s slightly brightening; the Sisley Phyto-cernes éclat (very expensive) is colour-correcting, moisturizing, brightening, and coverage is light to medium but longer lasting than the Kaja. Since I have criss-cross creases under my eyes (i.e. wrinkles), I apply concealer with a fine fan-like eyeshadow brush and light feather strokes to make sure I don’t overload my creases while creating a smoother and brighter under-eye appearance; as a last step, I use a very soft brush to lightly apply under-eye setting powder (e.g. Pat Mcgrath under-eye powder).
Fantastic video! Learned some new techniques that I'm excited to try (mixing the concealer/primer/chanel). I have chantecaille stylo. After watching this I'm trying to decide between the Kosas and the Dior luminizing pen. 52 and need hydration and brightening. 🥰
Super helpful video Cheri!! Concealer seems to be one conundrum everyone has. I've been using the Fenty Beauty Bright Eye Fix and it doesn't crease on one bit...unlike Tarte's Shape Tape or Laura Mercier. I have a friend who swears by the NARS but her shade is almost always sold out so I'm always on the look out for her if I'm at Ulta or Sephora. It must be good 😉
@@CHERIVOYAGE hey Cheri for date night last week I combined the grey from Chanel Doucer et Serenite & the Ombre Laque in Lame Acier with black eyeliner and that red Armani that I call my "Cheri" red. What a look & way out of my comfort zone! I felt somewhere between Pat Benatar & a Robert Palmer girl...very 80's 😉💋❤
This was very helpful. I have hollows so the struggle is real. I usually start out with Tatcha Pearl for correction. I let it set while I do my eyeshadow. I then use Pat McGraph concealer & lightly powder. I want to try your combo with the primer. I also use Nars in the pot for face which I love.
@@CHERIVOYAGE I wonder if I could ask a question , I watched your concealer vid , and it reminded me that I have got the Kevyn Aucoin Skin enhancer , however it’s one shade out , I.E I have sxo1 and acording to colour chart my colour is sxo2 , I’m retired now and can’t afford to buy another , I saw you blend a couple of things together ,with concealer , have you any suggestions as to how I could at a little pink without ruining the Product , I realise this is a big ask and I completely understand if you have no time to answer , but if you can that would be good ,I have very fair but ruddy skin ,and hereditary darkness round my eyes , so even if I end up turning it into a corrector that would work ,as it means I can use it , I noticed sxo9 is a corrector shade . Regards me me
Thanks again for tricks and tips on applying concealer. My Chanel rosy light has been sitting in the bathroom counter top doing nothing for over a year because I didn’t know how to use it. I am now enjoyed using concealer a lot because it covered my hyperpigmentation on the cheeks and sometimes to create canvas on my eyelids. Mine are Millennialskin by Dolce & Gabbana beauty, cledepeaubeaute stick concealer, Chanel peach and rose corrector. I would try Dior concealer as I’m now using Dior prestige liquid foundation 2N which is to yellow for my YSL BR20 or Tom Ford 1.5 cream to 2.0 buff. I’m using Tom Ford Emotionproof concealer as well but don’t know its number. My YSL TOUCHÉ ECLAT is number 1,2 as I tend to use underneath my eye and highlights my cheekbones, nose bridge, corner of my mouth and temple’s as it’s the best for dry skin. 💋
Wow, I love this video, very helpful. I'm going to try a couple or more concealer now, thanks to this video. I also love how you explained everything in great details. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us 😍❤😘
This was so helpful! Thank you for this! I’m in the market for a new concealer. I’m returning the Armani Stretch concealer. Too drying, color wrong. I tried the Armani Luminous one, nope, didn’t work for me. Creased in lines I never knew I had. Too thin as well. The search continues. I’m leaning towards the Kosas or the new TFord. I think I need to see in person, though. I love your tip about combining with the Chanel Luminizers. I’m picking up the Pearl one. .
@@CHERIVOYAGE I’m ordering the Kosas. When I get to the mall, will definitely check out the Tom Ford. That one is $$$$. Want to make sure about the shade on that one. I tried the Maybelline rewind. Colors are off, tried 2 shades. None worked as far as color goes. Way too light, or too yellow, dark.
Thank you so much for all the recommendations. I’m in my late 30’s with fine lines and wrinkles forming around the eyes. My biggest struggle is with melasma on the upper part of my cheekbones. What concealer do you recommend to cover this while still looking natural? (I find that I constantly struggle with still wanting to look very natural BUT if i conceal that area, it’s right around where I’m getting those wrinkles so it’s tempting to set it with powder , thus, having the potential of making my eyes look older. ) the struggle is real!!!!
Question. I use the Nars corrector. Do I apply and let dry down? If so how long? Or just pat in and apply (my) Lancome concealer on top? Thank you for your time.
Great video! I use Chanel everything but i am interested in getting the tom ford concealer 👀 so i have a question if i use a color corrector in the shade peach may i also add a layer of the shade pink?! Or is that doing too much?! Thank you again for sharing your knowledge with us. U are awesome appreciate you! 🤍
@@CHERIVOYAGE I like to conceal under the eyes and spot correct the face. I’m very pink cool undertones for sure. Should I try a corrector type for under eyes and regular concealer for face? I have to say I get excited every time you do these videos. Never miss not 1 ! You are awesome 💖
Hi Cheri, I looked at the ingredients in the ABH concealer and it has various oils in it like palm oil and coconut oil if I remember correctly. I wonder what the ingredient list is in the Lancome if it feels even more hydrating. Love the tip with the Chanel Rosey Glow! I'll have to pick that up! Have you tried the Dior Forever loose powder? Beautiful!
Thank you so very much for this informative and excellent content! You're definitely a cut above the rest with your in-depth professional advice! I was wondering if you have any thoughts on the Lancome concealer "Effarcernes Waterproof Concealer"? I used it for maybe a decade as it was hands down the best one I had tried + each tube lasted me a year or so. I started experimenting, but considering getting another tube again after my 5 year hiatus!
Question, so I just bought the new Tom Ford concealer. The SA chose 3CO, which looks good if I use something to even out my skin. Although if I’m going bare face, darkness is still covered but I see a slight peach cast. I know the peach cancels out the darkness but I have olive skin. When we tried a warmer shade on the other side it matched my overall face perfectly (bare skin) but still showing darkness. I wouldn’t make such a big deal about it, but for $90 I think it should be perfect. Any suggestions? Oh NARS Macadamia , Tilbury shade 7 I normally use for work and Glossier G8 is for when I’m just running errands for reference.

I use the Nars concealers every day, but they almost always look like makeup up-close, which I don't like. The powders I use on top are very smoothing (plus I have oily skin) so it ends up looking good; but they are not holy grails for me.
This was like a MasterClass! This was so well thought out and demonstrated. Loved it. Thank you!
thank you for being there🤗🌻
The quest to find THE best concealer seems never-ending… thank you for this video.

I ordered 3 colour sticks too.
