I added a tiny bit of coconut oil to the base mix for a nice subtle note of coconut.

Did u freeezee it in the freezer or refridgerated it...coz it wudnt b as soft ...if one froze it right...wud want to make it for a pot luck hence i ask

A layer of cheese on top of Oreo would taste the same I think, without all this effort. Finally it was a base of Oreo, and topping of Oreo, with a middle of mixed Oreo/cheese. But thanks for your efforts.

I froze 'em for 4 hours and I guess could've used a little longer. It was melting and seemed almost like an ice cream cake. Delicious! After cutting the bars I just put them back in the freezer. Will it set enough to be refrigerated or should they be stored in the freezer???

I just did this, and I added in dark chocolate chips to give it a crunch, and to counterbalance the sweetness. I think that exchanging the cream cheese with mascarpone would eliminate the sour kick typical of the cheescake. I'll try it next time, but all together a very easy and tasty recipe!
That's half a cup of sugar and you don't eat this alone, obviously. So really, nothing to be worried about. And if you chose to eat this alone it's your choice so stop whining about eating too much sugar.
